    Where do I begin? I’ve been making purchases from the store for many years. Not only for myself, but for my clients that I work for as a general contractor owning my own business. Each and every time I have made my purchases through Gina Yates. Not only is she a pleasure to work with, but she is a consummate professional that has a eye for good taste. When I am a little confused about whether an interior design will turn out right, I have followed her recommendations and have never been wrong. My clients even tell all of their family and friends about her as well as your location. She’s the best and I wish I had individuals like her that worked for me and my company!

    My fiance and I drove down from NYC to look at their feather down plush couch for our apartment. As soon as we walked in we were quickly greeted by their friendly associates. James was incredibly helpful and professional. He seemed to anticipate when we wanted time to chat privately and when to check in with us to see if he could answer any questions or make suggestions based on our requirements. He was very pleasant to chat with and handled our purchase quickly and easily. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for our visit and purchase. I would definitely purchase more furniture from American Signature in the future and would not hesitate to make the 2.5 hour drive to visit them again.

    Crystal is the absolute best. She is so kind, helpful and genuine. I walked into the store a little nervous about making my first big furniture purchase and she was so patient with all of my questions and gave such helpful answers.     We didn't find exactly what we were looking for yet, but the staff was friendly and the furniture was nice. But most importantly, the store was organized in a way that made it easy to find and compare what you were looking for! Things were grouped together rather than having to walk all around the store and try to find Waldo. Many items also were labeled with dimensions and other color choices. A much more pleasant experience.

    I purchased furniture from this establishment in October 2021. I have had ongoing issues with the dining set which was purchased. Communication is Key for me and if it wasn’t for the simple fact of me contacting the store I would never get any of my issues addressed. They still haven’t been resolved. The staff at this store are very pleasant. I cannot complain about any of the staff. It isn’t there fault the chairs to my dining set haven’t been repaired. I just wish they would treat customers better. It is sad because I was actually going to purchase more furniture from them but I am now skeptical.

    I was new to the area and needed some furniture. Someone I met in the area told me about American Signature. I went there a young lady by the name of Crystal Broomer greeted me. She was very sweet, nice and funny. I explained what was going on and how much I was working with at the moment. She took me to a scratch and dent room asked if there was anything I liked. I said yes. She then help me put things together according to my budget. She was great. I will be back!

    Beware of the warranty terms. The store itself holds 2 years of the 5 term . Once we got into the last month of the 2 year I was told it shifts to another company . Ok let's jump to that joke. Good luck jumping through the hoops. The company then will decide to give u a settlement number of the piece under warranty . Our situation 1200 item now reduced to 375 cash and keep the item. We refused and the store is ordering another piece . Now on to the next joke the delivery has yet to happen . They keep cancelling the delivery (most likely sold each time ) . Shady doesn't do well with me so think twice and use your Amex as an insurance policy .

    Update: American Signature Furniture went out their way to track me down and call me to explained why the leather (bonded leather) sofa started peeling and offered me store credit on a new sectional set (manufactuer defect). They even included free removal, next day shipping, and an affortable 5 year extended warranty on my new leather (vinyl polyster) sofa . Despite the 1 year store warranty expiration and the decline on my PurePromise insurance claim, they still reached out to try to make things right. American signature furniture went beyond what other competetors do and they truely "take care" of their clients to maintaine a lifelong positive relationship. Additionally, the wood bedroom sets I purchased 4 years ago are still in great condition dispite everyday use. I highly recommend doing business here. They see the customer as a person and not as money.

    We met Crystal Broomer on our first visit there driving down from PA. She was kind and gracious and helped us through the process. What I like about AS is that some of the sofas have the option to change the fabric, so you can get the sofa you want in the fabric you desire. The billing and deciding on the Left facing vs Right facing sofa was a pain but Crystal helped us. Hopefully we get the furniture on time now as we have been given a date 6 months from now :) will be updating my experience after I receive it .

    I placed an order in April 2021 was told it would come in July but received a phone call not until October! October received a partial delivery and was told the rest would come in December. December came and got another call not till February. 10 months for a complete furniture and dining room set totally excessive, no contact from the store, no apologies, no let me refund some of your money for the inconvenience, absolutely nothing! To add salt to my wounds I take the 12 month no interest financing and it expires June 2022 but I received not one item until October! Makes no sense should at least extend the financing until October 2022 but take your money and screw the consumer! Also calling the store , forget NEVER get through, I call corporate but still luck with receiving my order earlier! On a bright note my salesperson Schima was nice!

    I"ve NEVER in my life had such FABULOUS service and a pleasant experience from a sales rep Crystal B, a sales manager Dan and their regional manager Toni!!!! The experience I had walking into American signature in Bear, De. and being greated by Crystal B. was AWESOME from start to finish. Crystal knew her stuff inside and out and upside down! She was patient and helped me with my selections, I'll be going back to her to order more furniture and pictures and accent chairs. Crystal, Dan and Toni went the extra mile to make sure my order was coming faster than I expected! I was there Sunday and I had delivery Thursday of my items and their all beautiful! If you need furniture go to Bear, DE location FIRST and ask for Crystal B. The trip is worth the excellent service they provide. Extra tip ...call first and ask for Crystal B so you go on a day she is there and not her day off. BIG THANKS TO BEAR DE LOCATION!!!!

    ***Update 2/28 their social media team reached out just to tell me what I've been told since Aug 2021 parts to repair couch are on back order. What a joke. Why not just allow me to have store credit get something else and you can have this junk back. Btw did I state previously my mother got a couch same day same model just not a sectional a single sofa and has same issues been getting same runaround parts on backorder AVOID this place. Save your money. The prices are good for a reason the furniture is trash. Been waiting since August to have my sectional repaired it's sinking in in one spot and cushion are flat I keep getting run around and being told it's back ordered or I have to speak to purchasing manager whom conviently is never avail. Don't do it to yourself spend more and get something from a higher quality store.

    Good selection, attractive prices. Really cheap build quality. I bought a leather recliner from this place along with a bed and a table. Every single item had an issue. I also bought the 5 year warranty which luckily let me fix the bed and table. The leather of the recliner started peeling off and the mechanism broke. The insurance company denied coverage because the recliner was made out of leather. So I'm left with a broken recliner which has a manufacturing defect which neither the maker or the insurer wants to take responsibility for. Please read the insurance terms properly before you buy it. It's a scam and they sell you insurance that won't even be applicable to the products you buy. Never going back here again! Edit: The response to my review is a hoax!! Absolutely no contact from anybody, even though I responded a day after I was asked for my contact info. Just a PR stunt from the looks of it

    I have insurance on all my furniture and I got all my furniture from here. My bed broke and it was under 1 year so it was under a manufacturing warranty. I have called and they keep setting up a repair man and I keep taking off work and today is day 4 of them canceling my repair service and they don't call me, email me or nothing. I can't get a hold of the store. I keep calling and it is so frustrating. I don't think I want to buy from them ever again. Not only that but yesterday the collection department called me and said I owed over $1000 and everything was paid in full when I purchased my furniture. They are so disorganized. Edit a week later: They finally fixed my bed frame after 2 months. Since I wrote this comment they got in touch with me and actually called me and the person was very pleasant and they are giving me a $200 credit for my inconvenience. So I added another star instead of 1 since they did fix my bed and offer a $200 credit but it shouldn't of came down to this. I am satisfied but they either need to hire more people or something because it took way to long.

    I highly recommend Shima to anyone who is looking to purchase any piece of furniture! She is awesome, Shima goes over and beyond to get the customer what they want. I ordered a two piece sectional and ended up needing a third piece. Shima fought for me and got me the third piece within 2 weeks! Which was a shock because the original 2 piece sectional I purchased took almost 12 weeks. Shima gave me her personal number and kept me updated with my purchase. Thank you again Shima! ❤️

    I have to give an amazing shout out to American Signature Furniture in Bear Delaware! First of the staff was so extremely helpful the two times I visited the store this week. Very friendly and not pushy. The team at the Bear store is just utterly amazing! To add to the positive experiences in the store...Long story short my Dad is having some health issues and he needs a lift chair. I have ordered and paid for 3 in the past week at other stores only to find out after ordering them they were going to be delayed until further notice. I ordered one tonight that was in stock in the warehouse and would be here Friday. Unfortunately, they called and it won’t be here until Monday. They knew I really needed it for my Dad so they apologized and offered me the floor model to use until the other comes in. That is true over the top customer service!!!     I read the reviews on this place and that is not my experience we have furnished our whole home at this place we just recently renovated our house and we coordinated the furniture to come with the renovation was done however due to covid-19 a lot of the furniture is stuck on shipping containers in the ocean that's out of their control we're always greeted with friendly faces and you can change your order you can cancel stuff they'll give you a quote on what it is are people even call us when certain pieces that we've ordered had the matching piece that goes into the scratch and dent section if it's not too messed up but they are wonderful several times they have played sold stickers on it over the phone never had a problem reaching the store are reaching anyone to help us and definitely not while we're in store we also have the credit card to the store it's easy to pay off easy to use like I'm not sure if these reviews are from other stores but this review is for the one in Governor's Square wonderful store wonderful staff

    I wish they stop selling things they don't or can't get in stock. And the communication is horrible. Nobody calls to update or anything. They take your money and that's it. Placed a order for a dining room set in April that we were told would be in by May. We got HALF of the set in July. Every time we call they push it back another month. So here we are going into the holidays and STILL no dining set for family gathering. Horrible service. Horrible communication. And no apologies yet!!

    Terrible. The only reason I’m giving you a two is because what you did manage to deliver in the past 5 months was nice furniture HOWEVER: 1. Your customer service is terrible. Promise to make deliveries and no notifications of changes to orders or discontinued furniture although you have already included them in your purchase. Sorry ma’am we no longer have the buffets you ordered to go with your dining room set does not fly ! 2. Ordered my furniture since August 2020 And still no deliveries and my delivery dates pushed from August 2020 untold February 2021 with promises to deliver on paid items. But you want the interest paid and I’m to keep paying on items I don’t have. 3. Stop selling stuff you don’t have in stock or can’t deliver. That is stealing. Especially at a time like this. Although I canceled my order and put the funds back on my credit card you can’t give me back point for opening the card in the first place. 4. No communication and no deliveries and no furniture. Huge problem. Huge! I’m unsatisfied with your service and yes we understand it’s a pandemic but luckily I kept one of my beds when I moved or we would have been sleeping on mattresses on the floor for the past 5 months. Are the executives looking at the logistics ? Help me understand this? Nice selections but it’s all window shopping if you can get your orders delivered.

    The list goes on. The company has failed on a number of fronts. Promised it was at store for pick up. Drove an hour to get and no one could find it. TWICE!! Then supposed to deliver this past week and never showed up. Store manager, Randy, now is no longer returning calls. Honestly a pathetic organization. Poor customer service and outright lying about the past two months of supposedly available furniture. Left four message over two days. No return call. The Schottenstein organization should be ashamed of this location. Bottom line. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. LOOK ELSEWHERE UNLESS YOU WANT RANDY THE MANAGER TO TREAT YOU WITH TOTAL DISREGARD DESPITE PAYMENT IN FULL. REVISED REVIEW: It’s important to note that the company and more importantly Randy, the store manager, stepped up and addressed our situation quite satisfactory. The furniture has been delivered, and it’s beautiful. Despite the many issues (some preventable some not) the company made good and that’s ultimately all one can ask for. We would use this company again since they owned up.

    The best experience I’ve had with your company thus far! On Friday, I was greeted at the door by Crystal Broomer with a beautiful smile and energy to match. I didn’t have a clue as to what I even came into the store to shop for (lol), but after I gave her details of my living space, I left there furnishing my living room area with two grey, oversized, comfy round chairs (not to mention the price deal). We found a bedroom set that we took a liking to but felt we needed to look at a few other stores. Before leaving we promised our salesman, James, that we would be back. We've visited no less than 9 additional stores and checked out well over 40 different bedroom sets. We found ourselves comparing each set we looked at to the very first set we found. We returned this evening to American Signature Furniture and James made our shopping experience extra special. James has a fantastic personality and a gift of making you feel at ease.     I used to shop at VCF in Virginia before I came to this location in 2015 when I moved to Delaware. I love this place from the friendly associates to the great price and quality of furniture. Salesman (James) gave my daughter such an extraordinary customer service experience, as she was shopping for her very first apartment.     I have never been in this store, didn’t even know there was one in Delaware. Ended up here after a Google search and boy was I pleased. Was met by a smiling associate who had the best energy! Her name was Crystal Broomer. Even after telling her I wasn’t purchasing, she was still as pleasant and helpful as if I was. Because of that, I will be back next month to purchase.     Thinking of walking into a store to make a major purchase is daunting but Crystal was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure I took my time as I tried to find that sweet spot between style and a tight budget. She gave suggestions and recommendations that just made sense. Practical. The delivery process has not been as smooth as I would have hoped but Crystal handled all the details and made sure information was updated. She communicated through follow up calls and making sure everything was back on track. Talk of being a super star!     Am having the WORST experience ever. I received 3 deliveries for my 6 piece dining room set. Multiple deliveries all with damaged chairs. I’ve contacted the furniture store and to the day am still waiting for a MANAGER to assist me with this horrible issue. By the way this situation is been going on since February. Hopefully after this review someone will attempt to fix this problem.

    This location has a jewel 💎 that adds so much value to customer service and more. After having a difficult time with a purchase that took many calls, visits and months to deliver, Althea was the person that never stop following up on the ETA. Some pieces were damaged, not shipped together, sold again which made my delivery longer than needed, delivery was a nightmare…….you name it, it happened. After speaking with Todd and Randy the communication lacked keeping me in the loop. They said they would follow up but didn’t. They already had the money so I kept calling and visiting the store. Through it all I was patient and respectful. Althea was the only person that made sure in the end that I had all the furniture. She NEVER dropped the ball!!!! I appreciate her more than she’ll ever know. If I purchase from this location again, it will be because of the relentless effort and service that Althea delivered otherwise it’s a wrap!!

    My son's father and I went to this place after checking out several other furniture stores. We were quickly greeted and asked if we needed help. We walked around and found a beautiful night stand with a tall chest dresser. The gentleman that helped was very nice and patient, while I decided on purchasing chairs with the kitchen table or keeping the old ones I have. Which was not included in the price of purchasing the table you had to buy each chair separately which was odd to me but I digress. Up until this day we only received our dresser set just last weekend! Of course they blamed the pandemic, which baffled me because things have been open for a while now. The kids have finally returned back to school. People are going back to work, places are opening again. Yet I get a call once a week with them giving us a new date to expect our last item. Only to get another call stating that the table is being pushed back again till December😤😡! PLEASE TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY SOMEWHERE WHERE IT IS VALUED! .

    Drove about 50 minutes to the Delaware location since the store had the living room set I was searching for. I was immediately greeted by a very nice salesperson named Jon Tubbs. He directed me to the set and then spent some time with me going over my questions. At no time did I feel pressured (which is what I find difficult dealing with at many furniture stores). He took care of my transaction, explained everything clearly and it was overall a very nice experience. I’m hoping the delivery and products are just as good as the showroom experience.     These people don't deserve to have jobs. We bought a sleeper sofa from them in April 21', where they promised it would be delivered in June 21'. Of course it was not and the pandemic was blamed. ( which is the saddest excuse to continue to use.) They continued to tell us every month that it was on its way to the facility and we would get it the next month. We did continue to ask for discounts for the inconvenience and 6 months later and we finally get the couch delivered. ONLY FOR IT TO NOT BE A SLEEPER SOFA. Apparently their associate put the wrong couch in the system even though we paid the price for the sleeper sofa. These people dont know what they are doing and will lie through their teeth the whole process. Thank you for making this the least enjoyable experience we have had with any furniture company. We will never be using your services or recommend you to anyone.

    My mom and I literally went everywhere looking for a recliner for her. It was like Goldilocks, too short, not enough room, too much room, not long enough, not the right color .....on 3rd day came here. Greated by a lovely lady named Gina. She was awesome, great personality and humor,, and very informative. She didn't make you feel like we had to make a decision right then.. I almost fainted when mom tried the first chair and said "this is it"!!! The price was very affordable compared to all the others. Gina showed us some other chairs even some in clearance! Mom wanted the 1st one. Gina ended up giving her a discount. The only issue I had was the delivery fee of $159.99. Wow, that was the most expensive compared to 84.99. We decided we would pick the chairs up ourselves. Gina went and talked to manager and brought the delivery fee down $99. Since we didn't have strong arms available and being a couple of old ladies decided to go with the discounted delivery fee. Mom was finally happy! While we waited for paperwork, Gina showed me some sectionals that I want to by when I move back up north. I will definitely be back to see Gina!! Thank you so much for all your Gina. Pamala

    I purchased furniture from American signature and am enjoying the look. The prices are good and the quality of the furniture is decent. Check your furniture upon delivery. No need to purchase the insurance, it does not cover alot. Also if you are going to finance your furniture, your payment will begin beforehand. The customer service hot line takes forever.

    I am very disappointed with this company. I purchased a mirror back in January, no one has contacted me about the mirror. I been calling no answer. I spoke with multiple managers who never did what they said they would do. At this point I don’t know what to do. I shouldn’t blame the lady who took who took my order. She put my order in my mothers name when I was the one the paid when my credit card. Bad business. So do I just miss out on $600?

    I wish I could give 0 stars! Worst experience ever! Just moved to the area and shopping for furniture. Spent hours looking at different sectionals until I finally found one suitable, got a price and was told to just come back and pay. When I returned to pay, they couldn’t find order. One sales person said she could help, she found order and told me the previous sales person gave me quote on wrong sectional -which I didn’t believe, we were sitting in the actual sectional and asked for a quote for said sectional. Why would we be sitting over here and you’re quoting me for something over there! Anyway I asked her for a quote from her, she was about $500 more so I said to her don’t do anything, I will come in and see the previous sales person. Went back and shorty had erased previous order and replaced it with her quote in the system! That is very UNETHICAL and CHEEKY! Then the other one is going to say nothing he can do! DO NOT GO HERE TO SHOP OR SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE! They will send you something you did not order and say there is nothing they can do!!! They are dishonest sales persons. Can’t say I didn’t warn you!

    Bought a bedroom set. A piece of the bed broke during delivery (no one's fault, it happens). Called to schedule replacement delivery and got a delivery date of over a month later. Fine. Scheduled that day off work to receive. THE DAY BEFORE the replacement delivery, they called to tell me that it would be delayed another month but that I could have a refund if I wanted. But I couldn't JUST get the refund; I'd have to call the corporate office. Two days of trying and three hours on hold later, I gave up and emailed them. No reply for a week, so I finally contacted my credit card company and disputed the charge. Two days after that they finally got back to me saying that they could pick up the pieces I wanted to return a full week after the already-delayed re-delivery date and that they wouldn't waive the delivery fee. No thanks. I'll take my chargeback and spend my money with a company that doesn't ignore its customers. The furniture I did get was fine, looks and quality were as advertised, but this isn't a company I'd ever trust my time or money to again.

    Initial Review (Oct 2020)- I bought a dozer Riley bed to serve as an accent chair/ ottoman. I was not satisfied with it so had to return it. However, the refund process was taking forever & I became disappointed and gave one star. Updated Review (Jan 2021): So after an initially unpleasant experience that had to do with return & delay in refund; I decided to come back to make an update as the issue was finally resolved. I must highly commend the store manager (I think his name is Randy) as he personally made sure we were able to apply the refund on another purchase within the store (which was what we wanted). Now here is why I bumped up my review from a 🌟 to 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I went online to purchase another item to be delivered/picked up in store. But on the delivery date the product was not in store. I was about to get disappointed especially when I was told I would be refunded my money because the product was out-of-stock. However, the store manager again stepped up & made sure he looked across their other branches till he found the item. Not only did he reserve it for me to pick up at a later date, he still went ahead to run my refund (not an high-dollar value item but the action blew my mind). Thank you Randy. It's managers like you that win stars for the company.
