A fantastic local bank in Santa Barbara. Friendly and fast service, both in person and over the phone. They support and donate to great non-profits in town. They also reimburse most ATM fees! My friend and I joined when we broke up with Wells Fargo. Bank local and don't support big banks that invest your money in projects like the Dakota Access Pipeline! My only regret is not joining as soon as I moved to town.

Went to cash a check there written to me, treated like a thief, they assumed the check was fake. Real trashy people would not recommend.

I've had a Free checking account and credit/debit card for 1 year ++ Great service, and no problems. Also they didn't make fun of me when I left my card in their ATM machine. I have been very satisfied.

Went here because I was tired of Chase bank charging $12.00 a month so that I could have a basic checking account. Thank you for being a wholesome non greedy bank.

This Bank is in use by my Landlord and they currently have claimed they did not cash my checks on multiple occasions now leaving me in a time consuming situation where I have to provide evidence of my own payment...

I swore off banks for nearly 6 years until I ran into this bank. They treat you like they want you there. It's nice for a change. *Edit: Well their service as of late has been less than desirable. The last few times I was there it felt like any other bank. I wonder if it has to do with the new merger.

Great local bank - rapidly growing When American Riviera first opened its doors I knew I wanted to bank with them. Though sadly new incoming staff has been subpar to say the least. 12/19/2016 11AM I approached the next available bank teller when called. The bank teller I spoke with was very poorly dressed, looked angry or perhaps bothered, and his outward demeanor was very brash and impolite. This is not what I've come to expect from my local neighborhood bank. When I come to a bank of any sort, I don't expect five star service, but what I'd like to expect from American Riviera Bank is common curtesy and mutual respect. It was very clear that this young man was poorly trained or perhaps does not like his job, and he most definitely gave the impression didn't want to be there. To American Riviera Bank managment - Hire folks who care about there job and the quality of service provided to banking patrons.

Great local bank with great service. Compared to being a cog in a big bank's machine, ARB is a breath of fresh air.

Best, friendliest bank in Santa Barbara, without all the ridiculous fees the national banks charge.
