Charles Silva is one of best loan officers there is in this business! He was always prompt and considerate throughout me and my husbands process as first time home buyers! He explained everything in full detail and he still answers our questions anytime we need him! He dedicated his full attention towards getting our home! The process was smooth and exciting! I’ve met other lenders but he is awesome 👏🏾 no one like him!

I highly recommend you keep looking elsewhere if you're here to see if American Portfolio is a company worth working with. The communication is horrible, follow up is even worse. After signing with them my payments went up in less than 60 days because of an "error". Completely unprofessional once you've signed on with them. **DO NOT USE**

Brandon at American Portfolio Mortgage was amazing! He was very professional, patient, and always available to answer questions. This was our first home buying experience and we required a lot of hand holding during the process. Brandon was available to speak on the phone evenings and weekends and was very thorough in describing the process and what was expected of us at every step along the way. He was also able to process everything in a very short period of time, a month from when we first applied for a pre-approval letter until when we had our final closing. Thank you Brandon for making our first home purchase so easy and enjoyable!

I had great service. Immediate responses never more then an hour or two and almost instant email response. I am from a generation of instant gratification and when it comes to my money that need instant gratification grows and American portfolio never left me hanging not even on the weekends!

Unfortunately I am writing to express my frustration with American Portfolio Mortgage Company. I have been with them for several years. However due to the servicing change in 2011 there have been numerous significant errors in my mortgage servicing. With the new servicing company my payment was increased and then reduced, my insurance was increased by a factor of 10 and then corrected, my property tax was not paid until I contacted them and only after accruing interest, and now I am told this will affect my payment in the future but this is not something that they will assess at the current time. There are so many mortgage companies out there. Save yourself a bunch of headaches and don't use this one. The people that run this company are kind and sincere. The people they have chosen to support there customers are rude, and the system is obviously flawed. I hope I can save you from what I have to go through on almost a monthly basis in resolving the constant issues that arise.

Javier was a true godsend! As a first time buyer, there was so much I didn’t know, and he took the time to explain everything in detail - spent an hour and half with me before I even decided to officially apply with American Portfolio Mortgage. His service and attentiveness far outshined the two other lenders I had preapprovals from - in fact they didn’t even follow up to check in until well after I was already under contract. American Portfolio Mortgage was able to provide me with the right amount of funding and the type of loan I was seeking. Through every step, Javier was proactive in letting me know what to expect, walked me through everything that was needed, and made sure I knew he was available any time for questions. I successfully got to the closing table on time without a hitch, and walked out of the closing agent’s office after one hour with the keys to my dream home. I could not be happier or more grateful for what Javier and the American Portfolio Mortgage team did for me.

Wow! My seller and I have never had such a horrible experience with this company! 4 week late closing and excuse after excuse for the delay! Closing itself took over 2 hours … ridiculous! If I could give this company a zero I would. Horrible communication throughout the entire process! Do not use this company! Use a local lender!

I got transferred to APMC in February and they immediately had my taxes wrong by over 400 dollars making my monthly payment over 400 dollars more than it it supposed to be. I have been calling to get this fixed for the last 2 almost 3 months now and ITS STILL NOT FIXED. Worse experience with any mortgage corporation I’ve ever had.

Pam Kohn is the best! Very helpful. Always response very fast. Such a wonderful experience. . 5 stars!! As a first time home buyer I had a lot of questions Mrs.Kohn always emailed,text or called me back. She is really great to work with. Pick her you will be so happy.

Michael Houg was my Loan Officer. He is awesome. On top of it all and always answers his phone. Never actually met him in person but I love my house and the process was seamless as a first time homebuyer. Helpful, knowledgeable, accessible. Two Thumbs up!
