Nick is amazing! He contacted me immediately after I submitted my inquiry (which other lenders definitely did NOT do), and after our very first conversation I felt at ease and confident about our loan process. Kevin Green is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Let me just say I have wanted to buy my own house since I was a kid, I am a first time home buyer, I am 21 (just learning how the world works), and I get confused and worried very easily. It is a pleasure to recognize the efforts of Rachel Reyes in helping us obtain financing for our new home. The fact that the purchase took place in April in the middle of the current virus pandemic further highlights the superior attention our situation received from Rachel. The mortgage lending process is already complex and stressful enough for the average homebuyer. Not only did Rachel accomplish everything required from her home office, where she was self-quarantined without the usual resources at her immediate disposal, she also resolved a serious appraisal issue. Because of the scarcity of local appraisers at that moment, an out-of-state appraiser who was unfamiliar with our market threw a wrench into a very time-sensitive transaction. Rachel responded with a calming professionalism that was very reassuring to all involved. The situation was quickly resolved and the process continued on schedule. You would expect a competent loan officer to find you the best interest rate, walk you through each step of the process and keep you informed. Rachel certainly did that. However, her effort to land this particular plane went much further and we sincerely appreciate her fine work on our behalf! Kevin Green and the team at American Liberty Mortgage financed my original mortgage in October 2018, and I went back to them to do a refinance 1 year later. Everything went very well. The staff was always available to answer my questions. Kevin also suggested that I might be paying too much for homeowners insurance (which I was). That's the kind of personal service that can be missing in the app world we live in now, but that I still value. American Liberty Mortgage has that in spades.

They were quick with the approval, but come closing, they did not have clear to close and had to guarantee the money themselves. Now over a month later they can not get the mortgage sold and are asking for documents still. Monies came from a gift from a relative and now they want to know all about the relatives finances. Not really happy after being in the home for over a month and it sounds like things are still not settled. They work in good faith, just want to be done with the back and forth.

After a difficult experience with another lender, it was a pleasure to work with Kevin and the rest of the Green Team at American Liberty Mortgage. They worked with us to find the loan that was the right fit for our first home. Kevin and his team was easy to work with very professional from start to finish. We had a new construction home and the builder tried to pressure us to use their lender, but we decided to talk to Kevin first before we made our decisions. The builder threatened that getting the loan through an outside lender would be difficult do to extra paperwork and that something "always gets messed up and takes longer." However, Kevin and his team made sure that we had everything ready to go and there wasn't any delay using his team vs the builder's preferred lender. He was very open and easy to work with and was VERY responsive during each step of the way. His service was far superior to the builder's preferred lender and we are extremely happy that we put our faith in Kevin and his team to do it right.
