I found this company to be very poor at communicating with me and each other. There was a great deal of blaming of the other person and a lack of self-responsibility. The people I worked with lacked warmth and care. When purchasing a home and agreeing to pay a large loan back extra support and trust building is needed to bring ease, I didn't experience this with American Financial Network. Too many people were involved and it was very impersonal.

Everyone at American Financial Network was smart, competent, diligent, thorough, easy to reach, and kind. They made the process as stress-free as possible, and kept the ball rolling from start to finish. I was never in doubt about the professionalism and acumen of the people woking with me at any point. Highly recommend!

Worked with Odin and Kimberly. This company is not recommended, especially if you are self employed or an entrepreneur. Horrible experience. Waste of 5-6 months of our lives. A lot of empty promises and reassurances. If you are self employed or an entrepreneur that has even one month that deviates from your prior performance, they will be unwilling to go through with your loan/refinance, despite multiple prior reassurances that you are a preferred client/customer and that everything is all good. So, if you have a business that fluctuates or could fluctuate month to month, it is not recommended that you go here because underwriting will not approve you and they will not be understanding to your circumstances. And, the people that you actually work with on the loan/refinance, despite fake reassurances and talk, apparently don’t have any power or sway with underwriting to get your deal done. If you do go with this company, then make sure to ask a lot of questions and to keep a paper trail because they will make you think you only need one thing to close and then they will ask for a whole host of documentation extra thereafter without any advanced warning or notice. A lot of paper pushing with this company, which turned out to be a complete waste of time. Botched our rate lock completely and failed to provide complete and full advice and advanced notice and information in this regard. They do appear to be nice people and do appear to treat you nicely. But, in the end, if they can’t get the job done, then being or playing nice means very little.
