I recently closed on a refinance and used American Federal. I worked with Albert Garcia. He was great to work with and very responsive to any questions I had. It was a very smooth and easy process. We’ve got the best experience we could imagine. Matt, Jared, and Mark Young are fantastic! They gave us a way much better deal than anyone else at the moment and executed the closing amazingly fast (we closed just as initially planned even though one of the appraisers canceled the order; otherwise, we would do it much earlier). Initially, it all looked too good to be true. And I was very suspicious. I couldn’t believe it, so I spent several hours on the phone with various people on their team, trying to check multiple facts about the company, their processes, and how they could make it so cheap for you. And as all their answers sounded reasonable and convincing to me, we decided to go forward with them. And I never regretted a second. I'll recommend AmFed to all my friends. AFM honestly surprised me. It’s not local to me, and I wasn’t sure about an out-of-town mortgage broker as a first-time home buyer. However, through *quite* a stressful market and hundreds of calls, Albert Garcia was always super responsive and the team was very efficient in making sure we closed EXACTLY on time, and we even got a pretty solid rate. Lindsey was also very thorough in making sure we had everything necessary and no missing pieces. I would certainly recommend them to anybody getting a mortgage 💸

I closed. And I had my doubts I was qualified to close. But we closed, and for that I am extremely grateful. American Federal Mortgage Co was referred to my girlfriend by her friend who did extensive research on mortgage companies local and not local. She closed, my girlfriend closed and now I closed with AMFC. And though I was skeptical about their claims of no origination fees and no charge for the appraisal, I did in fact receive a credit back for the upfront charge which they call the lock-in fee. Bottom line is that there were no fees charged by this lender, including the appraisal fee. Michael Young was very responsive throughout, as was my processor, Kristin. They both would explain everything in detail when i had questioms. The portal made the whole process very convenient for uploading documents too. As an active real estate broker and attorney, I will be recommending this company to my clients in need of a lender.

I’m a first time home buyer and I felt like the home buying process is kind of terrifying. Initially I had a different lender. The other lender offered me an interest rate 1/2 a percent lower in my pre-approval than what I was actually going to get. Then because I asked them a question they didn’t lock in my rate and were telling my I had to get a 4% rate instead of the 3.25% originally stated. The 1% jumped my payments beyond what I felt comfortable with. I started researching and trying to find other lenders at that point. I was communicating with many lenders and submitting my information but only one offered GREAT rates & EXCELLENT customer service from my research. Queue American Federal Mortgage and Claudio Perez. 🎊🥳 Claudio was extremely communicative from the start of the process. He continually worked crazy hours and got all my questions answered almost immediately no matter when I asked (1am, Saturdays, etc). Mind you, being a first time home buyer and being screwed over with a car loan, I now ask 1,000 questions about everything, so Claudio’s patience and understand with me was paramount to my comfort. I also told my other lender about AFM and he basically did nothing, meanwhile Claudio did everything he could to get me the best rates, lock them in, and make my costs as low as possible. I ended up with a better rate and while Claudio was giving me one fairly low rate, the other company kept telling me they couldn’t do anything and the rate was going up everyday. I do suggestion shopping around for a mortgage lender as a best practice, but I bet AFM and Claudio’s awesome customer service and willingness to be the best possible will win out. Then to shout out to Lindsey Henry as well. She helped me get a lot of my paperwork, requirements, and questions figured out. She communicated so quickly and was also very patient with me as I barraged her with questions also.

Brian was truly amazing. We refinanced with him twice in the past and he always found the best rates for us and made the process easy and seamless. When it came time to buy a new home in this hot market, he was able to come through once again with probably one of the quickest turnaround times for a mortgage. Claudio and Sabina worked tirelessly to ensure that my loan was approved in time for my closing date, and I am now living happily in my new house that I bought in Florida thanks to their hard work. The only hitch in the process was due to a 3rd party appraiser who waited until the last possible second to send in their report. This however was not the fault of anyone at AFM, and in spite of it, Claudio and Sabina were still able to get me closed on time and with the lowest interest rate of any other lender I had spoken with. They also did not charge me any origination fees on my loan, which saved me nearly $2000 in closing costs compared to the other lenders. As a first-time home buyer, I would gladly recommend AFM to anyone who is looking to buy a house, now or in the future. Just make sure to have your appraisal done as soon as possible!
