I got a car loan through this company when no one else would give me one. Paying it though was a different story. I've rarely been able to log in to their website. When I finally was able to and set up auto payments so I wouldn't have to deal with them directly any more they canceled my autopayments before even the first one was made. When I went to log in and correct that, imagine my surprise when I wasn't able to log in to the site again. Password reset options don't help because I never get the email or message. No reason was given to why my auto payment method was canceled and when I called they tried charging me a late fee when it was on their end that my payment was canceled. I'm not waiting for a supervisor and have been on hold for 20 minutes. I can't wait to get out from under this loan and never do business with them again. If you can go elsewhere, do!!

My experience with customer service was extremely poor. The customer service reps give conflicting information. I called several times about an ongoing incident and received different info depending on which rep I got. Many of your reps are rude and unconcerned with helping clients resolve their issue. I sent in an insurance check which was held up. No one would release it. Later, I was told that the check which was for my car repairs was lost. Later I found out that the check for repairs was put towards my loan, which I’m sure is illegal, which left me with no way to pay the body shop for my damaged car to be repaired. I literally dreaded calling in because of the absolutely HORRIBLE experience. My Progressive insurance rep even said she’s never seen anything like your company. My daughter purchased a cad a few weeks ago and I told her to avoid ACA like the plague. I will tell as many people as I can what an awful company you are to conduct business with.

If I could give a 0 I would. i paid the amount that was asked to get my truck back. I missed one payment and when I made payments to catch up it wasn't put toward October payment but it was put toward the current month that we are in, Instead of releasing my car they told me I have to show what is in my checking account to get them to release the truck. I asked if they could read that since it's policy and procedure and they keep saying it's not in policy it's just procedures. NOBODY COULD TELL ME WHY I NEED TO SHOW THE BALANCE IN MY ACCOUNT TO GET MY TRUCK BACK. It is really giving me scammer vibes. The money posted to their website on Dec 31st and they received their money but holding my truck hostage because they want to know the balance in my checking account. KEEP THE TRUCK AND REFUND ME ALL THE MONEY I PAID ON DEC 31, 2021. DO NOT FINANCE ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY. They wasn't worrying about what was in my account when I was making my payments. I missed one payment and the interest that was added on was outrageous

I wish there was a 0 star button. Do not finance anything through this company! It makes me laugh that the company has posted to contact them on every bad review! Why? Obviously we all have contacted you and you didn’t help us at all. Why would we go through that again. I called after catching up my payments in may I received a statement saying I was behind a month in JUNE!!! I just caught up the month before. Lady told me it was from February. Then when I caught her in this lie because I had my bank account pulled up she said it was from October. Which I again caught her in that lie. Went through all my transactions from a year and half til now and then she told me it was our fault because we pay late or skipped a month. Pay late is 3 days late. Their online system doesn’t let you sign in or make an account to see everything. And the way you pay online is a joke! This company is a scam. Do not finance anything through them. You’d be better to walk or ride a bicycle.

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE COMPANY I HAVE EVER IN MY LIFE DEALT WITH!!!!! If I could give them a NEGATIVE ZERO I would!! They have zero knowledge of what’s going on, the calls are suppose to be recorded and monitored but that doesn’t help the customer one bit. From the bottom employer to management neither of them know what to do, I spoke to 10 different people each of them telling me something different. To the “owner” responding to these comments please train your employers better, it should not take 15+ days to receive a refund when multiple payments were not suppose to be taken out in the first place.

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a purchase. I bought a car from CarMax and my loan was done through American Credit Acceptance. I went to the website and set up the auto-pay option before my first payment was even due. Then after a few days past the due date, I get a text message from them stating that my payment did not go through because of insufficient funds. I called them and discovered that they had the wrong routing number for my bank, But I was assured that it had been fixed and that everything was set up properly. A few days later, I get another text stating that my payment is past due. I called and was again told that everything was fixed and I was all set. This all happened again a few days later. I called again (I spoke with Angel) and was quite adamant about speaking with a supervisor. I kept being put on hold and told that I would need to call back tomorrow. When I finally spoke with a supervisor (after explaining to Angel that her laughing at me was unprofessional), the supervisor insisted that I would need to call back tomorrow to set-up the auto-pay again. This company is the most poorly run and disorganized company I have ever dealt with and if you read any reviews about them, they all seem to be horrible and the company responds with the same stupid reply about calling them directly. If you are reading this and have not yet used this company, PLEASE avoid them!

I had bad credit when applying with this company and I thought I was in for something good. But they really need to be closed down. No assistance with anything. COVID hit and they won’t allow you to make arrangements. Not to mention you can’t pay on principle and they will tell you 5 different payments to make if they repossess your car. I wish I could end business with them ASAP

This is the ABSOLUTE worst finance company out there! they offered no help or options during the pandemic! When you could get through to an agent not a single one of them could give you the same answer even if you were asking the same question. When I went to trade in my car and they ran my credit, this finance company had reported that I hadn't made a payment since Oct 2021! And when I called them about that they would just say "yes you made your payment." You literally have to threaten lawsuit or a complaint with the BBB or FCC for them to do anything correctly.

I have an account with these people, and I have nothing good to say about them, if u can go to a bank to finance you a car. My account got switched over from another finance company! If u go through a dealership and they say American Credit Acceptance is the loaner your best bet is to decline the offer! They cheat people

It’s my first time getting an automobile and I was so desperate to get someone who would approve me. I gave them a try and worst experience ever. My first payment and I’m already having complications. Paid 3 days before my due date, but It still wasn’t showing on my end so I call day of due date, and speak to Jorge and he stated they received payment. I’m finally feeling relieved. Two days pass and I get a text saying it didn’t go through I call back and speak to Derick he stated I must pay again because they didn’t receive payment so now I’m mad because it’s showing I paid late when I called in advance and they told me it went through. Frustrated I pay again. Today I go through my bank and it’s now showing they took 2 payments out and now I’m left with a negative amount on my bank. I call back and speak to Antila and I really hope she refunds back a payment. Best believe after this I will be looking for a new place. Worst experience I ever had.

THIS is the worst financing company that can exist in the United States, please try not to accept any contract from them so that you do not go through the worst of your experiences. THIS company is not only going to raise your interest, but it is also going to report false information to the credit companies, I no longer have a contract with them and it is still up to date. They continue to report late payments and when you call they tell you to contact him dealer. honestly a nightmare, and the dealer that you communicate with them. Do not get an auto loan through this company. I got in to a bad loan with them and they are making it extremely difficult to pay off. They also will add fees on as soon as they can. Everytime I call and ask for assistance they tell me tough. They will post late payments to your credit report but won’t post on time payments for months at a time. I have to call them to get them to post my payments. Everytime I do call and talk to someone they are super unhelpful and rude. can’t wait to be done with them

If I could give this thing less than zero stars like a negative 5 that would be appropriate! Number one they will not let you refinance your vehicle with them they don't do that even if your credit score rises. Number two they will never defer a payment for you if you can't make it that month you just have to pay the extra interest until you can make that payment even though you've never missed a payment you've been on time with all your payments they just don't care all they care about is getting more money from you I would never recommend this company for anyone!! I have never worked with a company that works only for themselves and not for the better of their customers they have no interest in you at all this is the worst predatory company I have ever had to deal with I am moving my loan as of today.

If i could rate it a ZERO I would. I've had my car for 3 years always paid ahead for the past year it's been going to all interest. Covid was really hard for me lost my job tried talking to them seeing if they would work with me no matter what I did they said they couldn't help me. Told them they could come for the car. This company is awful. I will not be paying any difference on the car they took back. Stay away from this place.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a vehicle financed with them for 3 year and was never late on my payment. On January 26th 2022 I had a car run a red light and totaled my vehicle. My insurance paid out for the crash and sent them a check in February to pay off the vehicle for $11,100 ish my insurance sent them $11,375 ish in a wire transfer and told me American credit would be responsible for sending my a check for the difference. It took them till March 4th to close the account so they reported a late payment to my credit score for February 28th 2022 then I called them today April 8th 2022 because I didn’t receive a check for the difference from my pay out and when I talked to a representative today they informed me that they don’t owe me anything and they are keeping all the money. I called the lawyer that I had to get for my insurance company and told him and he agreed to help me out with getting my money from them. If you are getting a vehicle financed at a dealership and they tell you they are getting it through American credit acceptance RUN DO NOT sign the paperwork.

ACA has been by far one of the best companies I’ve had to deal with for financing. They are always willing to help. Last week, my car was repoed and I’d been dealing with personal issues. The agent worked with me to reduce my payment and helped get my car out. You don’t get that kind of service often as companies are usually eager to double dip. They’d tow and sel your car, foot you the bill and still win off the sale. Not these guys!

Wow, I wish had read these comments before even stepping into a loan with this place. Ive been good with payments as well. I hit a wall of hardship 3 children, covid, one income and I call to make arrangements and they put a repo on my car. Got an amazing person to help me out pay off the amount. I called right away to notify the payment has been made in full. Customer service was horrible told me sorry all I can do is make a note and if they come they come...un freaking believable after speaking to someone before this one she said to see who I can have help, I do that and they cant even contact the repo place to say hey this car is in the clear do not reposses. I agree with all the people who said they would give a ZERO 🌟 IF THEY COULD customer service is nothing like they have on their page. No sympathy for people, with inflation and families barely able to make means. Live by what your page , emails etc says. This company is full of bolagne and wont work with you, even if you contact them.

Don't get these people they will not help you in any way or form. They do not care for you at all or your will. Werther your sick or dying they don't care what so ever. This company has to be the worst of the worst. The crazy part is my dealer never talked to me about the bank or any given information either. I will be planning to bring up a lawsuit. None of what they do seems legit, they are recognized as scammers by most. They do not report to the credit bureaus. If you try to cancel they will tell you well we will take the car and put it up on auction and what ever we get out of it, the rest you will have to pay. Knowing the car is in perfect to good condition as it came out the dealership. Please and i mean please stay away from them. A lot of the positive comments here are fake people from there own company just commenting. These people are scammers and wont help you any type of way. Most of the agents don't know what to say and go about from a scrip they have.

Updated contact information multiple times, was told it was updated. Then, surprise surprise after months of trying to get a hold of them to return the car and getting no responses, they repo the car. When we try to find out where to get our things, we're told they called us, and got dates from their records. Check with phone company, and there is no call log on my device or in their archives that they called. No emails, no letters, no phone calls and then told that they did. Avoid them, they will mismanage your loan to make you want to leave, but they wont answer you until leaving also tank's your credit score. Never heard from the collectors either. The entirety of my experience can be described as being ignored from Day 1.

Absolute joke of a business. They are not committed to work with you like they say. The customer service is clearly a call center going by scripts and failed to answer any of my questions. The website never allows me to login and my auto payments I tried to setup were randomly cancelled without my knowledge which in return got me behind, also with no notice from them. Even if you are desperate for a vehicle, do not finance through American credit acceptance. I almost guarantee they will respond to this with that “we wanna hear about your concern” bs. I have voiced my concern to 6 employees who were very rude and I could barley understand. I pray that people don’t have to suffer the way me and thousands of other people who left negative reviews did.

Worst loan company in my opinion, do not go through them just save yourself the trouble. I’ve had financial hardship and gotten sick then right back to back got injured at work and unable to work. They are not understanding at all, no sympathy (not like I need any). A poor excuse of a company. Everyone is human so I don’t understand why you can’t help your customers. Also don’t bother commenting “call this number etc etc” because everytime I call, someone is either rude, doesn’t answer my questions, isn’t helpful. Also if other bigger loan companies can do deferred payments to help their customers there’s no reason you all should not. A disgrace.

I’ve had my car for 3 years now!!!! I was just told I’ve only made 2 payments on The account remind you my note is $566. I called to make my payment and my account was blocked. I haven’t received any certified letters no calls or email! I just contacted an attorney and bbb! I’ll file a chapter 13 before I let these SOB get this car

I had bad credit but they gave me a chance and I got a car I love so I’m grateful for that. I’ve had to speak with customer service multiple times after losing my job and they have been able to work with me while always being pleasant and easy to speak with.

Wow ok now seeing a lot of reviews most of them are bad even on bbb.org ok my advice to the people that have paid their car loan off this is a bad credit lender so what you do when you get a bad car loan or any bad loan you take it if that’s your only option but while your making your payments on time keep receipts with dates and times of payment while your doing this fix your credit asap keep working on it. do not pay off your car loan with bad lenders instead find a good lender that will let you refinance that’s not making you pay very high interest rates!!! Refinance with a good lending company most times it be at the best rates low rates etc. with a good company you don’t have to worry about crazy stuff being on your credit you will have good customer services all the other things but most important people get these loans and forget about the most important thing in life.. CREDITTT.

They made me get gap insurance and an extended warranty on my car before they financed my car. Then on top of that, the company they used to repo my car damaged my car by damaging something underneath where the engine is and made it fall to where I was unable to drive it. Then after getting it towed to the dealership to get it fixed, the warranty company they referred me to, denied my claim over one bolt. Then when I called them about it, they told me that it’s not their problem and said if my phone is not about making a payment, there is nothing else to discuss.

Horrible customer service. I’m having financial hardship right now, waiting on my check to clear and they put a repossession note on my account. Remind you I’ve been paying $300 extra every month since I got my truck. So now due to hardship I had to wait for my check to come in from an accident and they are ready to repo my truck. And I reached out to them. And they said there’s nothing they can do. Never dealing with this company again.

Absolutely terrible. Do not do business with them, I wish I hadn’t. I got behind with CoVid and have repeatedly tried to make arrangements to catch up. They refused to help me in any way at all. No deferments, no payment arrangements, no help w the enormous amount of fees they have charged ($200 worth), nothing. Customer service is rude, they don’t answer your questions and avoid them repeatedly until you demand they be answered. If I could give 0 stars I would.

0 star, don’t finance your car with this thieves, my bank sent them a check on march 21st the check was received and cashed out and they still saying that the haven’t received the check. My bank have proof of the they received, they also charge me the monthly payment when I wasn’t supposed to pay them anymore. If I could give this place -500 stars I absolutely would. This is hands down THE WORST experience I have had with anything "adulting" related yet. The employees are not knowledgeable, every time you call about something each one says something different. So never fear if you don't like you answer, call back! You'll probably get a different answer you don't like. Every month since May of 2021, that I go to make a payment it is ALWAYS something inconveniencing. This place is like a scam with official paper work. I wouldn't finance half a hotdog through them ever ever ever EVER again. Do you research before going with this place. Clearly i'm not the only one who thinks this company is T E R R I B L E. I would cut 15 acres with a pair of rusty scissors and walk across the world twice before I EVER finance another car through them again.

Yes, interest is high. Pay on time and their shouldn't be any issues. I haven't had any. I've also tried making 2-3 payments a month to help keep interst down. The interest is charged daily. Once I figured that out, it helps you decide when amd how to make payments

This company has me stressed completely out.. they took money with my authorization, put me negative and seems they have no urgency. I can’t pay for basic necessities like gas, groceries, etc. I literally drove to work on E yesterday , and I made it home yesterday on E.. i took $7 from my already negative account to put a bit of gas in my car for today. Luckily I get paid tomorrow, though it’ll be basically be to fix an account I never authorized to go negative.. at this point give me my money back and take the car. This company is basically full of thieves!!

Worst custoner service ever. I made a 1 time payment of $3,000 since they were ready to repo my car due to financial problems and deaths in the family. After I made the payment they charged me twice and they refuse to give me back my refund.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Avoid this “company” at all cost.They are dangerous. They prey on struggling minorities and single mothers. They put outrageous interest on loans knowing you’ll never be able to pay back. Just to ruin your credit even more. Don’t need to go into much details. Just watch the news.

The worst lender ever I suggest riding public transportation if you can until your credit is approved by a reliable lender they literally repo my car then had no way to get in touch with the company to pay recording says service is down n when I did get a different department they had no proper information for the company very uninformed not to mention the repo happened before my due date smh so frustrating feels like I’m borrowing off a person instead of a business very unprofessional. Got an approval with an astronomical interest-rate. When I called to speak to the underwriters they said that I was not allowed to speak to the underwriters directly. Obviously will not be taking out a loan through these guys

If I could give them negative stars, I would. If you can go anywhere else, GO. I’ve reported them to BBB and also reported Carmax for using them as a vendor. Also know others who have reported them. They repossess vehicles and can’t even legitimately explain the fees. I had two reps admit I made every payment on time then said I missed one month but admitted I made extra payments which actually part of them should’ve went towards my principle…then said I was behind 90 days then said I was behind 76 days none of which equaled my actual monthly payment amount. Then when they attempted to process my payment tried to run it as a cash advance from my credit card. This company is scamming and robbing people left and right. RUN AS FAST AND FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN THEYRE A SCAM and prey on those trying to build and/or repair their credit.

Called multiple times spoke with multiple people about receiving something as simple as a 10 day pay off letter. I was told a few different answers about how long it would take to receive this email. One person said it would be 30 minutes another person said it would be 48 hours. It should not take 48 hours to send something as simple as a email. Would not recommend this company!

I can't login to my account online to make a payment. There's no Tech Support for login problems associated with making an online payment. They charge you close to $7 to make a payment online, over the phone, etc. Their call center is contracted in the Caribbean.

I honestly wish I read the reviews on this company before financing through them! I attempted to call and request a deferment due to my fiancé being laid off and myself being home with our newborn and 2 year old and I was told I couldn’t even request one until I was past due. I called again after my due date and was told I didn’t qualify at this time and they couldn’t even give me a reason as to why I didn’t qualify. This company does not work with their customers whatsoever and their representatives seem to know little to nothing other than a script they must read from.

They are some frauds who take advantage of desperate people. I paid off around 3,000 of my car loan and they only put 725 towards the car loan and don't offer any type of refinancing. This is some "American Greed" type of stuff. It's absolutely disgusting. Whatever you do, DON'T FINANCE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Took 4 months to get my copy of my title sent to the DMV to plate my car when I moved to a new state. Had to fax the paperwork several times. Customer payment portal is the opposite of convenient. So happy I was able to refinance with another company with a 13% lower interest rate after 2 years of misery with ACA. If I could rate -5 stars I would.

Like someone else stated, if you have to use ACA for financing there is a reason. I never had an issue with them. This is not one of the financial companies where you can keep deferring your payments so keep that in mind. I was able to pay off my 72 month loan with them and the one time I really needed help, they were fair. Would recommend.

I feel like I’m being extorted with these high rates. Interest apparently takes up most of the payments, WHY? Because all these type of business care about is making money. Been paying ontime for 11months now and my payoff amount barely even budge! They set my payment date to two days before my payday and as a day passes they hounding me with calls! Next some of the reps don’t have much of a clue to anything when u call, it’s like they can’t comprehend anything beyond the figures infront of them; next they’re so lack luster on the phone (even they hate u ACA)! This car financing company is the worst ever. I have never seen so many incompetent people in my entire life. They don’t work with you their customer service agents are not professional, treat you horribly, if you’re behind and they harass you, they belittle you and they don’t make you feel like a customer at all. I would walk away if a car dealership offered you a this company. I have had three strokes in the last few weeks and they have called my phone they asked me to contact them via email which I did and they still want me to call In even though I don’t have a voice to speak pretty sad

I didn’t have any issues with this company for the most part. I desperately needed a car when I financed with them. My interest rate was extremely high but I didn’t know any better when I got the car. I haven’t had any issues being that I always paid on time. However, I was unemployed for 3 months towards the end of 2021 and they wouldn’t do a courtesy adjustment even though I’ve never been late. I had to get a supervisor to do it. Most of my payments never went towards the car. The automated system could never verify my account. None of the reps could figure it out and I would always have to speak with a live agent. I ended up having to refinance with a different company to get a lower payment and interest rate. It’s a good company if you are in desperate need

Financed my Lexus thru them and the rate was better then most and a better interest rate then other banks. They have been fair and communicated well. payments on time and even if I forgot to make a payment and was a day or two late they still reported on time. I would definitely do business with them on another car in the future.

I bought a car in 2019 using them, I was just establishing my credit, I recently got my bank to give me a very good loan for the car. I need certain documents from ACA, so my bank has proof of the loan from them. I have waited over a week, for this information to be emailed to me, and every time I call they tell me it’s been sent out, or they are working on it. Which I know they lied about sending it, twice claiming dates I never called on. They are just holding out so the interest rate gets higher. They only care about making as much money as possible.

If I could rate this company zero stars, they definitely deserve it. 99% of their employees in both the customer service and reinstatement department are extremely rude and disrespectful. They do NOT care about their customers as they false advertise on their website. Due to Covid I suffered a financial hardship. I exhausted my only option which was an extension last year under different circumstances. With the last bit of money I had to my name, I called to make a payment. I was reassured my account would be taken out of repossession state and set up 2 payment arrangements. Little did I know my car was taken in the early hours of the morning before I had to go to work. Now without my car I will not be able to work to make further payments to pay my car off. I have a family and home. I was unfortunately laid off and times are hard I just started at my new job all in which I informed several representatives my situation to work something out. I was told their is NOTHING they can do and I would have to pay a larger amount. To begin with I didnt have the money because I have been without a job for a few months. Do you think I have more money to dish out after I was reassured my account would be back up to date? I even had 2 employees 1 of which was a MANAGER laugh at my situation. That is quite upsetting you represent a company in such a manner and treat your customers like this. I would look the other way and not do business with them not even as a last option.

Paid my last payment on my car loan 12/10/2021. They congratulate me and sent me a letter in the mail saying I should receive my title in 4-6weeks. It's almost May & still not received it. Called this afternoon to see what the hold up was. They tried to tell me I still had a past due payment as in my last payment. Thankfully got a supervisor to verify I was correct and the balance was $0. I guess a "glitch" in the system happened; I'm sure 🙄 Nope they tried to scam me into paying my last payment twice. They saw they were in the wrong now I have to wait another 4-6weeks for my title to MY vehicle not there's. I'm going to be speaking to an attorney to see if theres anything legally I can do because they were keeping my title, my property from me specifically.Even my car insurance says I have a lien on the vehicle I believe that is illegal. Or at least is worth a shot to figure out what can be done. 0/5 stars do not get an auto loan from these scammers.

The ONLY good thing about this company is they will finance almost everyone. However, they have terrible customer service and they clearly do not care about you. They won’t work with you if you need to skip a payment. They tack on unnecessary fees. They don’t care about your personal hardships. All they care about is getting paid. This company, I can’t speak highly enough of! My first car, a 2019 Sentra is pictured! My dad who has a poor credit score helped me co-sign, and me with no credit, got approved only by this company. If it wasn’t for this company, I’d still be taking the bus to school and work. One year later and I now have a 700+ credit score at 19 thanks to them for making my payments on time! Thank you ACA! The lady on the phone for the welcome package was also very nice too!

They are absolutely horrible. They give no assistance with financial troubles. High interest rates, and to top it all off they don’t even check into your insurance that you have on you vehicle to not only protect you. They allow you to purchase a vehicle with liability insurance only! What kind of finance company does that. They’re just worried about the money not you or helping you! Worst company ever!!! Paid my car on time every time for a year straight. With additional payments made throughout this time. Come around to the holidays and I catch Covid so had to miss work. I call them to explain my situation and see what they can do to help me out a bit and all they did was put me a payment arrangement for the whole thing to pay half now and half in a week. Throughout the process I get charged to fees just to make my payment and additional late fee without anyone mentioning there would be one. They don’t care about their customers. Im sure they recognize that our credit isn’t good and take advantage of the fact most of us have nowhere to go but with them. If I did not need my vehicle as much as I do I would’ve already cut ties with the car and company just to not have to deal with. My advice to anyone if this is the only option you have to use DONT. Wait work on your credit more and then go look. This place between fees, outrageous interests, and let’s less then par customer service is not worth the stress.

Worst Company ever wasn’t notified of any repossession even spoke to them day before they decided to repossess my car. Woke 8Am Wednesday February 2022 and saw my car was taken. That right there tells me they aren’t interested in doing business with me and they don’t care about the continued business. In 6 months I’ve paid this company over 25,000$ in cash. Now if they would of notified me of repossession I would of done something urgently to rectify the situation. It’s sad how they operate because they setting theirselves up for loses. Even if they sell that car at the auction they will never make back the money I was paying them, they were making twice the money from me because of accumulated interest.

This is the worse company to finance through. Out of three I was approved for all same apr they went with this one and by God as my witness this company should not be standing. Made payments on line they said it was returned for insufficient funds. I take a screenshot of my chase account with well over 7k and provide them the proof and they said well we can’t change that. So they block my account on line. They block my card and account number from being used and tell me to add it to cashapp?! Like what?! Immediately I felt like this was a scam. I am contacting the BBB hopefully for a resolution.

This is a horrible finance company. I've had my car for 8 months and tried to use my extended warranty but was told that ACA had canceled it after 4 months. I talked to a rude woman at ACA and she said it was due to repossession. She said I see you still have it and payments are current so it was a mistake on their part. I put $15,000 down on my car and they financed $6,000. They applied $724 of the warranty refund to my loan but it should have been over $1,600 refunded. The warranty was $1,829. I am trading my car next week to get away from them and will continue to pursue the rest of my money. They charge me $6.95 to make online payments.

Terrible service. They were charging me interest on a car that was deemed a total loss, and I told them my GAP insurance was going to take care of all of it but it would take a while. My car was totalled in November and I'm just now getting it settled and they are charging me $1864.17 in interest charges because I was unable to pay my monthly note because I lost my job due to no car. And they knew that. But continued to charge me interest instead of just closing my account and waiting for GAP. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

If I could give this company a 0 I would. They reposed my car and I gave them half of the money so that my car wouldn’t be sold but somehow my car was at an auction getting ready to be sold and I came and got my car. When I got my car it was damaged and items we’re stolen and my car was dead. They hired the most trashiest people to reposes my car because they stole from me and used my personal items! They are called towing and reck in kennedale Texas ! I contacted customer service to get help on a payment arrangement but they kept closing the chat before helping me out or they are demanding that I pay the full amount when I told them I get paid on Friday. I know my rights and the laws and some of these finance Companies are losing their minds.

I have never missed a payment. I was married at the time I took out a loan with them. Divorced several months back and tried to get into online account to change my address since I had moved. Couldn’t get into account. Called them and was told I was locked out of account because there was a bankruptcy filed against car. Come to find out my wife had filed bankruptcy unannounced to me over a year prior to seperation. I never filed bankruptcy and I was the account owner and she was just on account because we were married at the time. They continued to take payments from me and never tried to collect the vehicle which I’m sure would be common practice had the account actually gone through bankruptcy. After finding this information out I asked to have my ex’s name removed from the account and was told they couldn’t do it. Spent hours researching through dmv documents to find out when a lien is on a car, only the lien holder can remove a person from a title. It’s not they couldn’t do it, they refused to do it. She never made a payment. She was never in possession of the car. Property agreement and divorce papers stated the car was mine. (When talking to their representative I was quickly corrected that it was their vehicle, not mine) I was told I would have to refinance with someone else to get her off it. No one of course will refinance it in my name until her name is taken off. Decided to purchase another vehicle thinking trade in might be a good option, same story so I didn’t trade it in. Today I call again after getting funds to payoff the car. Had to go through hoops to get them to tell me they would mail the title to my actual address after payoff, but refused to provide me with confirmation they had updated my address. Then was told they put everything on hold for at least 20 days before even sending the title out after payoff (20 days after cleared payment and also probably 1-2 weeks in mail meaning it would take 30-60 days to get the title, which obviously would make it impossible to sell or trade car before this period of time. I finally gave up and told them to come get there car. Even with an account in good standings and trying to actually payoff the account they do everything they can to work against the customer. By far the worst financial company I have EVER worked with. Stay away from them. I really believe they want people to default on their loans. Never in my life have I worked with a company that doesn’t make it easy to get their payment in full.

The last person to post is correct! I’m still awaiting my payoff amount letter in which I plan to use per my lawyer to verify payoff amount and send a certified check. The reps I’ve spoken to have lied about the letter and I can’t open the so call encrypted file no matter how many times I try to ask for the code. Clearly the system dosent work and now I’ll have to pay more money on interest due to their issue! Never use them!

I fell behind on payments and they are working with me and were actually pretty easy to get in contact with over the online chat. They seemed pretty willing to work with me to keep my vehicle. Now the bad is the high service charge for paying any way but auto pay or thru the mail. But I've recently found you can pay at Walmart for $1.50 fee but it will take 3 days for it to be sent. Definitely saves you some money though. Interest rate is super high but thats to be expected..Ill update this review as i continue to pay on my loan. But so far so good.

Tried to make a payment 3 weeks early. Their system was down, but somehow still processed 2 payments through my account, leaving me with 7 dollars in my acct. on payday. Now of course the system is too broken to simply stop the extra payment or even show that I’ve made a payment. Of course the customer service is absolute garbage. Simply put, this company is a joke. I reached out to American Credit Acceptance on 3/31/2022 to discuss settlement options regarding the vehicle loan I have with my ex-husband for a 2015 Nissan Armada. I was advised that if I went to a dealership to have the vehicle appraised and sent the appraisal to American Credit Acceptance, that they would review the appraised amount and determine what they are willing to accept as a settlement amount. My ex husband took the vehicle back to CarMax which is where the car was originally purchased 3-4 years ago. He received an appraisal for $17K. I sent that appraisal to ACA and I was advised later the following week that the settlement was approved for $17K from ACA. My ex-husband signed the paperwork and gave the vehicle to CarMax on April 15. Fast forward to May 13, when ACA sent myself a notice that the account was past due. When I call ACA, I was advised that no payment was received from CarMax. I call CarMax and I spoke with a representative in the Business Office who advised that CarMax paid ACA on 4/20/2022. One check was for $16,133.05 and the other was for the extended warranty cancellation of $866.95. So I proceed to call ACA back only to find out after speaking with the supervisor Sara in Settlements that ACA won’t accept the payment of the extended warranty as part of the settlement. On Monday I spoke with Ambria in the Settlement department of ACA and was advised that ACA would consider a new appraisal at the $16133.05 if CarMax would present it. On Tuesday, May 17, after speaking with Derek @ CarMax Corporate Escalations, I went to the CarMax in Merriam KS, where the vehicle is located currently and has been located since April 15, 2022. I spoke with the sales manager Lovie and after discussing the situation, he went to the Business Office and upon return, I was advised that they were already working on sending ACA the remaining $866.95. The next two days I tried to reach Ambria @ ACA Settlement team, to see if she had heard/if any funds had been received, with no success in reaching her. Today, May 19th, I tried reaching the Corporate Escalations team with CarMax and multiple calls to the store, with no success. I just sat on hold. So I emailed the email address used during the original process of having the appraisal sent to CarMax, in hopes to have someone from the store call me back. After sending a couple of emails today, I received a call from Tyler or Taylor, stating he called ACA and they advised the payoff was $15K and that they wouldn’t release any info to him since he isn’t authorized. I then called ACA and spoke with the supervisor Sara again. I advised of all the attempts to have CarMax rectify the situation and the frustration with trying to work with ACA and CarMax to resolve this issue. Sara said she would notate my account with the approval to release information if CarMax calls them. In the interim, I emailed CarMAx back to advise that the approval for them to speak with ACA was placed. I also tried to call the CarMax locate store in Merriam KS again. The representative that answered stated he was in another state and after hearing the story, he tried to reach someone locate. After holding, he advised he emailed the BUsiness Office manager, Angela/Angie, in Merriam KS CarMax and advised to have her call me. I have since heard from an individual from CarMax from the email I sent to 7172-mod-shared email, who has stated ( unknown individual, no signature or # reach them) that they reached to ACA to discuss the issue and were advised that there is no authorization to speak with CARMAX on my account. I called ACA and spoke with Jayden in Settlements that stated she would have Sara call me and also that Sara did note the account that I release authorization for ACA to speak with anyone from CarMax. As of the time when I write this review, CARMAX has my vehicle, they sent the settlement amount to American Credit Acceptance and American Credit Acceptance (@Spartan Financial Partners) will not post the $866.95 to the account to close out the settlement. And no one from eithr plce seems 2care

If i could give customer service a 0 I would. I paid my car online like i normally do monthly. First off let me say I called to update my phone number, email address,etc. I paid the 23rd of this month. I got the email that it had been accepted my payment. My actual payment isn't due until the 27th of each month. Well someone calls me today saying I'm past due. I was like wait a minute I paid a week or so ago. She says some reason it got reversed back to my account. I was trying to figure out why and she says its about a one digit off. I said why didn't someone call me sooner or email me . Funny thing is I updated my account awhile go with my new phone number and email.so she said the old number they called and well how is it they called to my updated number today. That doesn't make any sense and plus when I did make a payment the receipt went to my updated email. Now it seems to be a day late and now they want to charge me more then what I owe monthly and I refuse to pay it.I don't know what country they are running out of , but they really need to get someone on the line that I can understand and that they can understand me. I've always paid my car note in advance ever since I've had it. From the same exact account.I paid today the same payment I've normally been paying a month. Now I see why the reviews are so low smh. The worst company ever! I paid my car loan off in December 2021. I went to go purchase a new car this week only to find out that on my credit report ACA is reporting that I have an outstanding balance. I contacted ACA and the representative confirmed that I had satisfied my financial obligation with them. I asked the representative to send me documentation stating that the loan had been paid and to update the bureaus. The representative informed I would receive the documentation via email. This evening I received the November bill which is not what I requested.

One of the rudest customer service representatives I have ever dealt with. No matter when I call or whom I speak with, every representative is rude and very snappy with me. Have not had a good experience, first I couldn't understand the first agent, between her accent and the static on her line I did not know what she was saying and she had the nerves to have attitude with me fore asking could I speak with someone else. So the next person got on with bad attitude and a static line as well. So after all of this just to find out if I could pay off the loan I have and then finance another car with them again. I never got a answer to my question and they hung up on me mid sentence. My biggest regret is having to go through this company.

If you are a military service member, never go through this company. They do not care and will tell you that they do not care. Every time I call, someone has an attitude. They say they put notes on your account and that is a lie. They do not put notes on the account. They are very unprofessional. The choice of words they use are very unprofessional. They will not work with you at all to solve a problem. I called for days and no one seems to want to help. When talking to a supervisor, they do not go above and beyond to help the customer. They will tell you that they will call you back, and that is a lie. They will not call you back. They do not have a corporate number to talk to someone above the managers or supervisors. Their rates are not good. I bought a $11,000 and needed a $9,000 loan since I paid $2,000 in cash. Currently I have paid a little over $9,000 and they are saying my pay out is $5,600. Their rates are terrible… I will basically be paying $15,600 for a $9,000 loan. Ridiculous…

Wish I could give 0 stars. I usually don't take much time typing up a review but I will for this. Stay far away from this company. You may feel like its your only option because your credit may be challenged at the moment however please just wait. I was in a bad car accident. A drunk driver ran the light. My car was totaled. Insurance paid most of it off. I was out of work for over a month due to injuries. I have been with them for almost 5 years with all good payments. Made a payment arrangement and was still reported to credit bureau and now my credit score is down 103 points, My credit is everything to me which is why I stayed in communication very consistently. They don't care about customer loyalty plus honestly their rates are up the roof. I was blessed with a descent job so I accepted it. Do better. Do research. Make sure they have programs and arrangements for life happen type of situation. With COVID, that is already proof that anything can interfere with normal life. Once I pay the rest of this car off. I will make sure I never ever finance with them again and I will make sure everyone knows to not finance with is company!

I have one star because 0 isn't an option. If you have any other options at all TAKE IT. I don't understand how this company is in business. It's an absolute joke. 🙂 Please someone explain how ICAN'T pay on the principle of my loan, and tell me how most of my payment is going towards the interest for ACA, not even towards my actual loan. Also if you're told you can pay the loan off early, ask how much the fee will be. This place should not be in business. It literally just takes advantage of people who are already struggling. This is why credit is important people.. ya know, so you can use other places besides this place. This loan company is the worse!! Not only did they charge my account for 2 payments (it was suppose to only be for one) but when I called to get a refund the customer service associate lied and told me processed it when whole time he didn’t! It took for me to call them 5 different times for them to figure it out and I still didn’t get my refund !!! The customer service reps are never helpful and don’t try to offer you any payment assistance regardless oh how many early payments you do it’s just ridiculous! I can’t wait until my car is eligible for refinance so I won’t have to deal with them ever again !

I have my car loan through them. I have never been late on a payment in 2 years. They took my payment out twice on the 17th of December. I called them crying because their error made my account negative right before Christmas! I have children! I was told they would expedite the refund. It is now the 30th and I STILL do not have my refund. Because of their error I received NSF fees from my bank for other transactions I had previously set up. I called American Credit Acceptance and asked since this was their error would they as a courtesy take care of at least 1 of the NSF charges. I was told they do not do that. I think it is time to refinance my loan through another company.!!

I don't recommend this company ALOT of hidden fees. They don't tell you that they Charge you everyday interest and even if you pay your car note months and months ahead of time and you're not due to pay again until month's later on and you still make monthly payments they still charge you interest every day which means you're paying for your car plus one more or two more. (Fraud and scam)

Went from eecu to this horrible company. I will say that I wasn’t in the best financial position and needed a car desperately. So I will give them their thanks for accepting me when no one else would. My $9000 car is almost $ 17,000 which I doubt the car will even make it to the end of the note even with the regular maintenance. I can put all that to the side. What really irritates me is the fact that you have to pay $10 fee every time you pay your payment. Doesn’t matter if you link your bank account or your card. And the biggest complaint is the fact that if you are even one day late they are blowing your phone up from multiple different numbers even if you make an arrangement never the less if your a week late. But if you need assistance from their end good luck buddy. You won’t get far even with a supervisor nor do the really seem willing to budge or help. They just want your money they care very little about customers/ customer service. If you have to do business with them tread cautiously and try to refinance with a different bank ASAP.

Just paid off my vehicle. From beginning to end I have not one negative thing to say about this company. Yes your interest rate may be higher than a traditional bank, but that comes with the not so good credit choices we may have made. Yes, they'll take you if you have low credit, but it may hurt you in the long run. My $12,560 loan will cost me $32,000 ($20,000 in interest and almost 3 times the amount) even if I make every payment on time for the next 6 years. I've paid over $1000 so far and have only seen approximately $300 come off of my principal. I also wasn't told that my very first payment, and most of the second payment, would be applied completely towards the interest because interest accrues at $9 a day. My fault for trusting the dealership. Had I known, I would've continued saving my money and paid cash. Lesson learned...

We paid off our car on October 28th 2021 through bill pay at our bank. As of October 30th 2021 our phone number and account information is not recognized when calling American Credit Acceptance. Also one of the credit bureaus has advised that as of 11-8-2021 our account balance had increased by 59.00, This company is not getting a red cent, if this company does not wish a law suit they will update our credit reports and cough up the title.

It has come to my attention that American Credit acceptance receivables service has denied me of credit. I, the NATURAL PERSON, Creditor, and Applicant, am aware of the letter that was sent to me which is an adverse action pursuant to 15 USC 1691(c) (d). As the ORIGINAL creditor, I initiated a consumer credit transaction, using my credit card pursuant to 15 USC 1602(L) making American credit acceptance receivables service Union an assignee pursuant to 15 USC 1691a (e). I DID NOT fill out a Loan Application because banks cannot loan money pursuant to 12 USC 1431. Furthermore, that is an Deceptive Form identified in the FDCPA pursuant to 15 USC 1692j. I DID NOT receive any benefit from that transaction as it negatively impaired my consumer report proving the transaction did in fact go through. It shall be unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant, with such respect to ANY aspect of a credit transaction as Congress states pursuant to 15 USC 1691(a). Lastly, Congress states "No credit card shall be issued except in response to a request or application thereof" pursuant to 15 USC 1642. This is my request! It is shocking to me that American credit acceptance receivables service takes pride in their ignorance of Consumer Protection. As a result of the adverse action provided to me. I really hate to see all of the negative reviews and I do apologize you'll went through that. I my opinion ACA is like any other finance company, My expierence has been great with ACA thus far. When I need time to make a payment the grace period is 15 days before i am accessed with a late fee and 30 days before it is reported to the credit bureau as a late payment.
