These guys used to be the best. I’ve been with them since 2000 and until recently, had a good experience. I noticed $15 unauthorized charge and wanted to dispute it. The first branch I went to, I waited 30 minutes in line before leaving without accomplishing anything. I went to another branch and there was a line almost out the door. I called 8 different times on different days only to hear an average hold time of 3 hours each time. Once I finally found a branch that I could stand the line, I was told the transaction would be marked as fraud and someone would call me. When the person called me, I then was told I would need a new card. I had them order the card, but specifically asked if my card would work until the new one came and was told absolutely until you activate your new card. I then went to the waste station and both my credit and debit card were declined. Because I didn’t have cash I had to sign a form saying I would come back to pay the $10 or a sheriff would knock on my door. I have a $0 balance on my cc and plenty in my account to cover a $10 charge. When I went back to the branch (after waiting another 20 minutes, they couldn’t tell me why my card was declined. If you can’t service your customers in a timely manor, you need to hire more employees. Definitely choose this credit union if you want to spend hours upon hours waiting for someone only for them to give you incorrect information.

The teller Aubriel was RUDE, and we felt totally discriminated against as she decided to make up her own policy and rules instead of doing the right process of cashing a check, she did not even seek the manager’s approval for the purpose of us being there to cash my wife’s check, I am a member by the way so there shouldn’t of been any issues period, we want to a more civilized branch and another teller who actually loved her job did the right thing and spoke with a manager and received the corrective action and proceeded to cash my wife’s check, and keep in mind this was a tax refund check that was a federal government issued check and these banks are supposed to be federally insured.

I sat with my Grandma in the drive thru waiting on them for half an hour. We sent the check she needed to cash in and they didn't verify that they got it they just helped all the other lanes. I pressed the call button after waiting a while and the girl that answered said she was busy helping someone else, which is fine, but at least let your customers know your backed up and will be with them shortly. After about 20 minutes they finally answered with another guy who was able to help, but by then they had already helped other people who got there after us. Not very professional.

Great bank, however I do have a suggestion in regards to how they handle the process for issues w/ signing into online banking. I tried to set up an external transfer account with another one of my banks and the account became locked due to security questions. I called in the service help line to see if they’d unlock it for me and even though it was verified with the account information, PIN, and calling from the number on my profile, they still referred me to a branch in order to get my profile unlocked. Step into the branch the next day, and they shrug and aren’t sure why they weren’t able to help me beforehand on the phone and it took a lot longer than it should have to unlock the security questions. There needs to be a more sufficient and easier process to get your clients back into online banking without the hassle!

This is the most horrendous bank we have ever worked with and has costed us many wasted hours and tears due to their next-level incredibly poor customer service and ability to perform basic bank tasks. The most recent catastrophe was when we needed to wire our down payment for our new home. They had protocols in place that were going to force us to wait 5-10 days before we could transfer the necessary funds. We found a way around this obstacle, but then their entire server went down. They are going to close now for the long weekend and we are now without a home for the Memorial Day weekend. If you wnjoy wasting your time, not being able to access your money, and terrible customer service, I would recommend America First. This is the most unfortunate and unreliable bank and I will never recommend this bank to anyone.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!! ATM took out money. AFCU doing nothing about it. I was told it could take us to a month to get it returned to me. Had to wait 3 hours on hold to speak to someone. Went in 2 times to try to speak to a manager and they are always gone or not available because they are short staffed. Staff seem to all be new, not sure how to resolve issues without getting help constantly. So frustrated. Wish all my business accounts were with Bank Of Utah. Its literally a million times better experience every day. America First needs more staff or they need to limit their membership because their current team cannot service their members in the way they should.

Teller has no brain power to do anything but the script. She was so rude and condescending! I hate interacting with this branch

The Ogden 20th Street Branch of America First Credit Union mis handled the bonds I brought in to be redeemed. They stamped them BEFORE a telling me that they couldn’t cash such a large amount. My bonds may not be worth anything at this point. Don’t trust them with your money!

I mostly drive through the place and rarely go inside the building, but EVERY teller I have dealt with, have always been extremely nice. hey are quick, accurate, and have AMAZING customer service. The branch is decent size and they have a good amount of drive up machines. The layout of the parking lot is perfect because you can get out to Washington Blvd really easily or head out to 20th street which is not far from I-15.
