Buyers and Sellers Beware! Kathy Runyan of Alta Realty represents the Sellers in an active transaction I am currently involved in. Despite verbally, and in writing, committing her sellers to the sale of the property, Kathy has refused to move forward, citing other offers that occurred after the agreement. She cannot be taken for her word. She does not respect your time or dignity as a party to a contract and her interests appear to be completely self-serving. Such blunders should not be made by a seasoned professional and will leave a horrible taste in any buyer's mouth, while exposing her clients to litigation risk (potentially legally tying up any property she is involved in far into the future). She has not respond to offers by their deadline, at times stalling communication between the parties. If my experience is indicative, upon attempting to assert your rights as a party to a contract, she will cast them aside and treat you as subhuman, not worthy of her time. Shady business tactics abound. Choose your realtor wisely and stay away from this one.
