Allied First Bank Reviews

My loan officer Nate Watson was the best. He was very kind and very professional and I could tell he really wanted to help me . He explained every thing to me step by step and was very patient with me answering all of my questions as our loan options changed. He is very good at what he does and I am very happy with my new loan. Thank you so much for everything Nate and Happy New Year.

Matthew Smith from Allied Mortgage, had refinanced a home for us and did so well that when we sold that home, I reached out to him for a new home loan! He is so pleasant to work with and keeps you updated on the process! He is our go to guy! You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Ileene

Our non-profit historic house museum applied for a PPP loan through Allied First Bank. We found their customer service outstanding - they were in constant communication, were extremely knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to walk us through the process. We are very grateful for their efforts on our behalf and look forward to a continued business relationship with Allied First Bank.

Working with Matt was a wonderful experience. Matt keep me informed weekly if not more. Process was seamless. Paperwork was easy to obtain. No end surprises. Closed as expected. I have used Allied a few times in the past, all experiences were outstanding. I highly recommend Applied and Matt to process your loan.

I am rating Allied First Bank 5 stars because of the service provided by Jessica Quigley. She was personable, professional, responsive, knowledgeable and invested in my best interests. From the first call I had an immediate rapport with Jessica. She was focused on delivering the highest level of customer service, addressed every question I had, from the smallest to the greatest, and gave me the impression that she always had time for me. Jessica is a true asset to Allied First Bank. She looked out for me regarding the interest rates, and advised me in such a way that I could make an informed decision. She is good PR for small banks, and I would recommend Jessica anytime. I am happy with my choice to work with Jessica.

Mathew helped get my refinance for the house. Communication started slow but toward the end we started communicating a lot more to get things done. Liza helped get things going and communication went well. Thank you all for the help!

I had a great experience working with Matthew Wood to refinance my home. Matt and all the Staff I interacted with were extremely helpful in deciding which VA loan options best fit my needs. They were alway available responded to emails, calls and texts in a timely manner. And even after the process and refinance was completed they have remained available for questions and support. I’d recommend working with Allied First and especially with Matt because of his integrity and determination to find the best options for your needs and he’ll break everything down for easy understanding.

I was given great information in the beginning process of the application. After a couple of months in I was told I needed more than initially explained. The process was blamed on my state not allowing certain things and my current mortgage company would not release needed funds to pay for closing. I kept being informed a certain amount was all I needed until closing time and then stated I needed more money which I did not have. Secondly, I was late in paying my monthly payment on the advise of the loan officer and Allied bank would cover the late fees. After all is said and done. I was left with wasted time, late fees and no other solution granted by Allied Bank.

My experience with George Denikos at Allied First Bank was outstanding. George was there for us, through the refinance of our home, every step of the way. He made sure he kept an open communication always. If for some reason I couldn’t reach him right away, he would call back ASAP which was never more than just a few hours. Thanks George for all your help and support. Great doing business with you. God bless you.

This organization repeatedly sends me mail about refinancing even after repeatedly asking them to add me to their no contact list. The last straw was when they told me that I qualified (with a specific dollar amount of equity) to refinance a house that I don't even have a mortgage on. This company seems to just send out spam mail and see what sticks. This organization will never get my business, and the harder they try, the more I want to spread the word of the aggressive and false claims they make in their letters.

I give this bank a five star, but I wish it could be more. I’m assuming I had the dream team of mortgages on my side. Adam L., Chris J., and Jenna L., were terrific. They guided me through everything and made sure our family got the home we have always wanted! Times are rough for everyone, so having some great news means a lot to our sanity. You three are blessings to us. Thank you for your patience and for being so thorough.

Our experience was beyond our expectations. The service from Allied First Bank and Matthew Shano is unforgettable. He was very professional and kept us updated with every step during the process when refinancing our home mortgage. We would work with him again and recommend his services to anyone!

I cannot thank Jaklin and everyone at Allied First Bank enough! This was my first refinance and I was extremely nervous. Not only did they walk me through step by step, but Jaklin was always available to answer any questions I had! (even if I had already asked it!). We were able to communicate via text message, which made asking and receiving answers to questions so easy. I would highly recommend Jaklin and Allied First Bank if you are thinking about refinancing or looking for a trustworthy bank to handle your new mortgage.

I received a direct mailing about refinancing my existing VA loan with a VA IRRRL loan. I was unfamiliar with what this loan product was so I did some google searches about it as well as Allied First Bank since I didn't know much about them either. Everything seemed legit and checked out so I decided to call the number listed on the mailer to ask additional questions. I was connected with Mathew Smith and found him to be very knowledgeable about the products, processes, and timelines associated with them. He answered all questions I had professionally without all of the confusing finance lingo. We worked together for about 9 months with Mathew keeping me updated every few weeks on current interest rates. He was never aggressive or pushy which was very appreciated. He understood what I was looking for in terms of interest rate and fees and was very open about them. Rates came down where I wanted them so I proceeded with the VA IRRRL loan. Matthew kept me updated on the process and was easy to get in contact with during the refinance closing process to answer any additional question I had. Everything went smooth and I am very happy with my lower mortgage payment. I would definitely work with Matthew again in the future.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We received a few letters In the mail about refinancing our VA home loan. We ended up going thru with them in November. Did all the paperwork and were told the loan would go into effect in March and that we would not have payments for two months. They were quick to have us sign all documents in November, after that communication became non existent. We reached out many times, we finally heard back from Jackson (our original guy Giovanni was no longer with them) that was supposedly why we had the lack of communication. After Jackson took over it seemed to be getting better. February came around and he said everything looked great and they were wrapping paperwork up and not to make payments for March and April. We didn’t make March’s payment. We tried to call Jackson multiple times to get copies of our new loan and see how everything was going. No response. April came and we got a notice saying we were behind on payments. We have tried to get in contact multiple times with him to figure out what is going on. No response, we have left multiple voicemails. We are currently waiting on a call back to have them shred all our documentation. We will be going thru another company. It’s very saddening, my husband is a 100% disabled combat veteran and this has caused triggers with his PTSD. We plan on calling the BBB. Please save yourself the hassle and do not trust these people.

We recently refinanced our home with Allied First Bank. Our loan manager Nathan (Nate) Watson walked us through every document we needed to provide them with. He answered every question we asked. (sometimes twice) He was very professional and had a lot of patience. We are grateful that we refinanced our home with Allied First Bank. We would highly recommend this bank for anyone looking to purchase or refinance a home. Peter and Nancy Ganem

I highly recommend you avoid this company at all costs, especially if you're contacted by TYLER CAMERON or CHRISTIAN FISCHER. Both of these people are inexperienced, poorly educated employees who should not be in this industry as they can't complete a simple refinance without screwing over the buyer. Due to their mistakes, I've lost over $1000. I will continue spreading my experience so I can help others avoid this inexperienced company. DO NOT USE ALLIED FIRST FOR ANYTHING!!! THEY'LL TELL YOU ANYTHING THEY NEED TO TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!

Our loan officer Billy was a wonderful help. Through his persistence, we were able to get our loan. He is a caring and patient person. Thank you.

My experience with Allied First Bank was amazing. I was looking to have my home refinanced for a lower rate and Allied First Bank made that happen. Matthew Smith was our loan representative and he made the process for my husband and I smooth and effortless. Matthew kept in touch with my husband and I, giving us updated statuses of what stage of the process our loan application was currently going thru every Friday. Thank you Allied First Bank and Matthew Smith for all of your help, it is truly appreciated and will never be forgotten.

This will be my third time refinancing. The first two I went through my mortgage company, went smoothly and problem free. This time was completely atrocious. The agent I dealt with, we'll just call him Ryan. This had to be his first time servicing one of these. From the beginning I had to submit the paperwork three to four times, was constantly told I would be contacted to discuss the paperwork and how the process was going, IT NEVER HAPPENED. Was told my closing date would be the 15th of the month so save my mortgage payment for the closing costs. Ended up being put off until the 25th of the month . My $1800 closing costs payment turned into $2600 ,and I was notified of this on the 24th. Ryan told me that he would be discussing the closing paperwork with me, IT NEVER HAPPENED ,He would be sending the paperwork explaining why my $1800 turned into $2600 ,IT NEVER HAPPENED .In short the person I worked with WAS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT AND HAD NO CARE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE . YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A ESCROW PAYMENT FROM MY PREVIOUS MORTGAGE COMPANY THAT RYAN TOLD ME I WOULD BE RECEIVING, I JUST SPOKE TO THEM AND THEY PAID A TAX BILL WHICH REDUCED THE PAYMENT BY LESS THAN HALF. EITHER RYAN IS A LIAR OR COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!

Do not use Allied, at first they seem like a positive company. I used them to lower my interest rate on my mortgage. At closing, they did not send the funds on time, did not send the correct amount and after resending the correct amount my payment was considered LATE! This put a late payment on my credit score. I received collection calls during this time, it was not a good feeling at all! When closing was over I expressed my concerns, gave them the address to the mortgage company to send a letter so they wouldn’t hit my credit score. It was ignored, 6 months later I wanted to do a refinance and was turned because I had a late payment on my credit report. When I contacted Allied he, Brad Cohen, said he would work on getting this removed, takes about 2 weeks. 3 months later still not fixed! Total of 9 months and they haven’t done anything. I worked with Brad Cohen from the beginning, shop elsewhere. I have gone to BBB and will continue to hit every social media until this is fixed. Good Companies don’t let this happen!

I wanted to share my experiences with Allied First Credit Union. I stumbled onto Allied many years ago while living in CA, it has been a blessing. I always use a loan office named Richard Pratt. Man, he is good at his job. Honest to the core and a super nice man. I have used Richard so many times we struck up a friendship. What I truly like about Richard is his honesty and professionalism. If I could secure a better loan he wouldn't pursue me like most loan offices. Richard would actually review my other loan and tell me he couldn't beat their numbers, who does that in today's environment. If your searching for a home loan, refinancing called Allied and ask for Richard Pratt. You will not be disappointed.

Avoid Jerry Hurni Please do the research before picking a mortgage lender. This lender is terrible with customer service. I decided to cancel with them and go with another lender. They charged me for a home inspection, which I have cancelled so the service was never completed. They continue to hold my money and not give me a refund after a month of them saying they were refunding me. Bad business practices here. Don't trust them at all.
C
FRAUD ALERT! This is a scam company. They constantly send a letter looks like coming from government and saying that you have that much money in your reserves so if you call them they’ll give it to you. Basically they’re trying to refinance your existing mortgage.

I reached out to Matthew Smith with questions regarding refinancing my mortgage, and from the beginning Matthew was organized, transparent and follow up with me during the entire process. I would certainly recommend Matthew Smith with Allied First Bank for any of your mortgage needs. Unlike others that I talked to he has exceeded my expectations!

Nathan was an amazing representative for Allied First Bank. I was extremely apprehensive about refinancing. However, Nathan was incredible to work with throughout the entire process. Nathan guided me through every step, which was quite easy. Nathan was able to save my family money and get the best interest rate available. I would highly recommend Nathan at Allied First Bank, if you intend to refinance.
