The day before closing on my house I was so nervous with everything, but I walked in, Christina R. sat me down, helped me with some money processes, clarified a lot of details for me, and overall made me so much more confident and relaxed about it all. Closing went perfectly the next day and I can't thank her enough! Great customer service.

I hate this bank. Your technology is terrible. It took you guys FOREVER to adopt Zelle and now that you have, I still can't use it. I was really excited because I finally had a way to get money I transferred to ALEC back to my preferred bank Chase. But it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get services activated and your bank deactivates services without permission. The only upside of ALEC is the interest rates. Even the customer services is lacking. It's like y'all live to say no.

Always greeted and feel welcomed whenever I walk in. Today a member service representative named Sarah Quijada helped me with my banking, and went above and beyond.

Online banking is useless, you can see your balance but if you want to do anything else the “more options” buttons just forward you to call them. You’ll have to monitor your automatic credit card or loan payments as they just sometimes don’t process and you’ll get a late notice. You call to figure out the issue and they’ll forward you around to multiple people and keep telling you that you must not have had money in the account at the time it tried to pull money, even though there’s more than enough in the account and you haven’t had any account withdrawals or deposits to change that amount. They must be very small with no funds for furthering their mobile or technology fronts. Just know that going in.

Banks charge fees to earn money and consumers try to avoid fees to save money. It’s a battle many consumers lose, and the fees add up to a tidy profit for a bank. I have been a member since 1994...charge me a fee oops courtesy pay of 3x the transaction amount. I guess someone has to pay for the new building and much needed customer service training.

Terrible over the phone customer service. It’s like blind leading the blind. In person service is better but if there is no need to go in, then why, right? That’s why there’s a customer service #. Nobody ever calls back. Wait times are ridiculous. The information I received when I finally got to someone was incorrect and HAD to go in because nobody ever got back to me… the only reason I changed banks is because my husband and I have a joint account now and it benefitted to join his, alec. And their is no point to the app other than checking balances/transfers.

I recently opened up an account with ALEC and have been very impressed with the quality of service provided. I have multiple accounts with them and the process has been smooth on every occasion. The people that work at ALEC are some of the friendly and helpful people I have met in the banking space. They always go above and beyond to help you and resolve issues. I would highly recommend ALEC for your banking and loan needs as they offer competitive interest rates backed by friendly Customer Service. Thanks ALEC!

I have had an account here since my mother opened it over 35 years ago. It is a great credit union, staff is friendly. But one thing that I have found unreasonable is if I have a check with my name and my boyfriend's (who is not on my account), that they will not touch the check, even with both of us there and proper ID. Every other bank and credit union allows it. We have checked. If that hasn't happened multiple times then I would be giving a higher rating.

Dormant account fees stole $20 from my account. Not only is this bank unethical, their customer service is awful. You’d be better off flushing your money down the toilet than banking with these fraudsters.
