Affinity Federal Credit Union Ridgedale Ave, Cedar Knolls

I normally use the Cedar Knolls location and have been for years. The prior manager was always gracious and offered excellent service. The current manager I can say with confidence is just the opposite. I find her bitter,, contrite and seems to have her own agenda. I have been with AFCU for 34 years and the only bad experience is with, well, I’ll call her “Bitter Betty”. So, Bitter Betty, I hope you’re reading this and I understand you feel as though you are judge and jury, because, we all know you’re smarter than most of us humans, however, bitterness is a weakness either way. So now you will be know as Weaky Wanda. You can call me FU Fred.

I only gave one star because I had no other option. This is the worst bank everrrrrr. Their fat cat advertisements are egregiously misleading as they ARE iN fact fat cats. They gouge members for $30 insufficient funds charges even when the money is in the account. Their logic is that if a charge is pending at 7am before business hours, and hits at 830am after a deposit is made, although there ARENT insufficient funds they bank is still entitled to your money because of the PENDING 7 am charge. I CALL BULLSHIT seeing as all banks have business hours. I can only make deposits and have direct access to my money within certain business hours. But the bank can take my money at any hour as they see fit. DO NOT BANK HERE. Additionally the bank manager and one of her employees sat next to me in the town Starbucks discussing employees and other sensitive information regarding OSHA, as well as racially sensitive remarks. This bank is the worst, the branch employees are all white, and they are crooks.

TJ helped me out in a major way when he didn’t have to! I drove almost an hour to get to this branch and realized that it was closed. I did call, but apparently it went to a different branch. He handled my transaction and was totally gracious about it. I’m sure it was annoying for him, but you wouldn’t know it. Thank you!

This is my favorite bank and branch! Every time I go, I always have a wonderful experience; everybody is friendly and nice, and they are always willing to help you.
