Action Pawn #1 S Fort Hood St, Killeen

The most striking thing off the bat is that the place is massive. They have a lot of pretty much everything. They seem to sell a few things like a normal store but 90% of their stuff looks like the typical pawned items. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the prices felt fair for what I am use to seeing in pawn shops these days. I will particularly note that they had a massive amount of power tools, guns and guitars.

I have not been inside this pawn shop for 30 years. Was coming through town good place to shop look for bargins. Staff offered assistance they have a large variety of items

I bought a Ps4 pro 1tb from Action Pawn yesterday. NOT even 24 hours and the ps4 was overheating and I couldn’t even play a game on it. I went to get my money back since they sold me a defective item, and they charged me a 15% stocking fee! They said they’re putting it right back on the shelf. DONT BUY FROM HERE THEY SELL BROKEN ITEMS!

I bought a gun, the very next day I bought it back to and told them if I could get my refund back I would be happy to put it back on layaway. The workers there were all trying to help me out except for the manager. He gave me a hard time and charged me a restocking fee. I thought it was a great go to place..I looked forward to spending a lot of money there. They no longer have my business. The workers there are lovely, kind and have a great attitude. Definitely management issues though. The atmosphere says it all.. I understand it's a business, but what's a business that doesn't put the customer first.

My wife and I came to Action Pawn with a bag full of jewelry that was left to me by my late mother. It was loaned to try and obtain my wife the new car she desperately needed. It was scary to leave something that was cherished by my mother so much in the hands of strangers. I showed up and the Manager immediately did not sugar coat anything about the value of the products and helped me select the most efficient pieces out of the lot, and set up a whole team to help me get exactly what I needed! They were truly a blessing!!! I could not be more thankful to Doug and his team!

My experience was terrible I drove across town on to have a lady named Gwen who she was the manager close the store 6min early.

Don't hesitate to buy a firearm here! Yes it's a pawn shop but they have many different high end firearms at fair prices! And they had the magazines I couldn't find anywhere else in stock! I've bought several firearms here and Ron is the absolute best! Great people, service and selection!

Excellent! The young lady who took care of me was very nice. I was a bit undecided on the item I was going to buy so, she offered to hold it on the side for a couple of hours. I thought this was great customer service and sales experience. As it turned out, I ended up buying the item. Lucky for me she had set it aside for me because right before I returned, someone else was asking about the item. So, yes. I would highly recommend Action Pawn #1.

I have bought several firearms from this pawn shop and its ALWAYS an enjoyable experience. They're happy to ask questions and help you out! No wonder I'm always in there. S/o to Glenn and Mr. Ron Now shut up and take more of my money

Very good prices on firearms, good selection and great layaway plans. 6 months to pay off and you can have as many layaways as you can afford. The staff are friend and helpful and they will continue to get my business.

I was greeted with a warm and wanting to help attitude. However I didn’t like that my jewelry was taken to another location to get tested. That’s the only thing I didn’t like Overall I was pleased with her attitude of willing to get me what I needed. Haillie took real good care of what I needed.

They always have a good selection and good prices. I have been in this place two times, and both times someone in my group has walked out with a new firearm. Wonderful customer service, attentive staff, an all around great experience.

For 5 years I've been shopping here and sending them business. That ended today with the rude behavior of one individual, one closing down the store turning people away before closing time. Sad part is that this individual cost the store $500+ I had plans to purchase a nice higher end scope today and now ill find somewhere else to conduct business. Certain individuals will be missed

Do not do business here. They sold me a gun with a bent barrel, gave me store credit to get another one with a messed up stock. Went back for the third time and just got my money back. Seems all they sell are broken guns. Just be careful. Was glad they gave me my money back tho. Also when I went back the third time the gun I returned with the bent barrel was back in there shelf. Are you kidding me? Crooked people.

Me and the wife went there and picked out our first gun. They were very helpful and informal. We went thru the back ground check very quickly and walked out with our gun in about 30 mins. They so many choices to pick from and accessories.

After going to 3 different gun stores looking for Glock 17 so i can get some training while on leave from my job overseas. I got to a very packed Action Pawn on Fort Hood and waited in line. A very nice gentleman *** Ron*** greeted me and asked me what i was looking for. I told him glock 17 and asked him he have any. He reply yes , i only have one. I said good i want to buy it. He said ok let me go get it. As soon he stepped out to get the weapon, i stated the timer on my phone. Well let just say from when i started the timer to the time the manager walked me out the door was only 22 minutes and 20 seconds. I buy multiple weapons before but the experience i had with Ron top everyone else when it come to being competent, reliable and respectful.

One of the best actions pawns in Killeen. Great staff and friendly service everytime I’ve gone. I had an encounter with Monica recently and she was great!! She helped me pick out a nice ring for my teenage niece. I liked all the options/suggestions she’d show me which led to the one I picked and purchased. FYI my niece loved it!! Got a loan on 4 guns. Carlos pushed my due date out for me and put a note in the system. "DO NOT PULL UNTIL APRIL 16th!" As I was going to pay off the loan on April 16th. I went in yesterday (April 2nd) to find all my guns were pulled and put back in inventory. Carlos was not there to speak to and the staff was not willing to review the notes and comply with his orders. I'm more than upset as these guns were left to my husband by his father whom is no longer with us. I'm considering legal action at this point.

If I could give a 0 I would literally. They did not give me a receipt, but continued to argue that they give everyone a receipt. Everything you buy from here is either broken are too expensive.

Action Pawn sold my friend a PS4. When he plugged it in at home, the console overheated and was unusable. My friend tried to return it not even 24 hours later and was told he can either use the money he paid for it as credit toward another one or pay the 15% restocking fee. I asked the manager why they would even charge a restocking fee on a 100% defective/broken console and was pretty much told to fk off. Also, when asked why they would charge a restocking fee on something that doesn't work as if they were going to put it on the shelf again, he answered that's exactly what they were going to do. Wrap it up and put it back on the shelf. Don't go here... luckily there's tons of other pawn shops in Killeen

I went through just their tool section alone and i was looking at just their Dewalt tools alone (my personal favorites). They are selling used tools at the price of what you can get them for brand new off Amazon or other tool websites. I would rather buy them brand new than deal with possible unforseen problem created by a previous owner.

I always come in here to see if there’s any new hidden gems and they always awesome. Never had a poor experience and the lays away feature is awesome. Made couple purchases and was not dissatisfied. The Dept and armory Dept is really cool and felt valued as a customer😎

If your gear or what ever tour tuning in is not up to par with what there standards should be the they will have the entire staff laugh at you. Insanely unpleasant. If you don't want what someone is trying to pawn kindly deny them and send them on there way like every other pawn shop does. There is a reason that this place is getting this review and Noth other places

I went looking for a small wrench. I found in miscellaneous tools bin. Went to pay and manager asked if he could help me find something. I showed him tool and asked how much. He replied, you can have. Maybe he thought, I could have just stuck in my pocket since he didn't see I had in hand. It pays to be honest.

They are extremely helpful! I’ve bought a total of 4 TVs in the past year and they all are great and work perfectly. Manager Tre and workers Gina and Logan assisted me and made my experience here worth while. you guys are amazing!

Good service as always. Only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is the fact that they used my personal info provided on the 4473 to send me a text asking for a review. Ive purchased many guns from them over the years, and will now consider giving them a fake number to prevent getting unwanted texts at 730 pm.

Want good guns, at fair prices, Action Pawn is the place to go in this area. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, will’t try to rip you off for a quick sell or anything like that. Ron, Doug and the rest of the guys are good old boys I like to call my friends, gone out of there way over the years to help me with what ever I needed. Will not do business anywhere else when I need a gun (and I always need a gun 😁).

UPDATE: I went back the next day and bought more! I also,(like always) referred my friend, here he bought the same “items” as I did. I’m going to miss this place! I’ve spent tens of thousands buying rifles, guns, & ammo here. You can’t beat the service Ron offers! We’re moving back to our ranch in California, so we picked up a little more 🔥 power 😉. I’ve been recommending Ron for as long as I can remember! So long Texas, and thanks Ron for everything! ✌🏽

I came here 8/26/2020 to purchase a Glock 9 and an AR 300 Blackout totaling over $1000. My application was then delayed and I was advised by Ron to come back on 9/1 to pick up the guns. He advised me to put both guns on layaway which I did. When I came back 9/1 to get the guns I was then told by Doug and Ron that I had been denied. I then asked why and he said he can’t tell me. He gave me information on who to contact regarding the denial. I immediately contact DOJ who sent me a letter stating that I WASNT DENIED and to go back to the FFL dealer. Doug STILL refused to sell me the guns after VERIFYING that I WASNT DENIED. I’ve NEVER felt so discriminated against in my life. They still have my money down for the guns and at this point I’m thinking they may have sold them. It’s a shame because I spend sooooo much money here and they made my first gun buying experience HORRIBLE.

Refused to sell to a gun (I have a concealed carry) because my son who is 18 was going to use it at a range. They have no real clue of texas law very unprofessional. Guess it's better just to lie to the uneducated. Will NEVER go back.

Me and my sister went in and came into contact with an associate by the name of Ron. He works in the gun department and we were very happy and appreciative of him. He took his time showing my sister different options and was very knowledgeable, we didn’t feel rushed and he has a great positive attitude and goes the extra mile to make sure your happy and satisfied. I don’t usually do these but he really is a great guy and very helpful. Thank you very much, will definitely come back because of Ron.

I would give a 0 Star if i could. They sold me a broken stereo for 750, i returned it the same day and they charged me a 15% restocking fee. I lost over $120 dollars for their mistake.. i would highly recommend people to shop elsewhere. There is a lot of better pawn shops in killeen.

This used to be a great pawn shop. You could get fair value when you need a cash loan and did not want to kill a credit card. The staff was compassionate to a degree and helpful, most importantly fair. I had been going since 2010. I recently made the 1 hour plus drive to borrow against a item that I had borrowed against multiple times in the past years with them. All new people, all different attitudes. They would not due 25 cents on the dollar. I was really surprised by the change in everything. Unfortunately, its now a bad place to do business. Find a better place.

Action pawn is my go to. Glenn and Ron you guys customer service and expertise are unmatched. I’ve bought a few guns and a AR-15 pistol because you guys deals are incredible!! Fast service!! Great deals!

Ron, at the gun counter, was super sweet and amazing. He helped me with every question I had. He handled myself and another customer at the same time and in good timing. He was very patient and very kind. I felt bad when he kept calling for a manager check and they didn’t come for 20 min for the customer in front of me and 15 min for myself. They didn’t seem busy either. The management team only redeemed themselves when they shook my hand and thanked me for my business. Ron will be the only reason I go back.
