Acme Continental Credit Union S Perry Ave, Riverdale

I’ve had them for a year. I didn’t like how I went to the bank and asked for my cash and it wasn’t on hand. Was told it could take a week to come they would call me when my money was there to pick up. Also lost my debit card and have no access to get in my online account. It’s Saturday. Also have no way to cancel my card till they open up on Tuesday. Monday is Memorial Day. So hopefully my account won’t be dry. Also I checked my other card cause I’m on a joint account with my sister and they don’t even list a stolen card contact on the back of the card. I’m so mad they deserve to be reported to the bbb. No reason I can’t cancel my card.

The experience I experienced here was the worse. The credit union was prejudice, while not displaying equality. I live, work, & worship in this area. To be denied after already approve isn’t great practice. I sit outside crying because of the encounter. I was approved for a personal, and auto loan. , brought all substantial documents on behalf of myself, got approved then denied verbally without any denial letters, It’s been months and I still haven’t received denial letters. I spoken with the Vice President and president whom asked me to leave after asking qualifying questions, this was the worse experience I had when I have accounts at this bank, I pay for applications fees, I work, I’m a essential worker that contributes to my state, small and mediums business. I’m a victim of discrimination, to feel and be treated in this regards isn’t great practice.

Recently offered a no credit check $1,000 back to school loan for members. After paying application fee and providing all paperwork. They told me they wanted a credit check. That defeats purpose of a no credit check loan. Then denied it. My paycheck goes to them before I ever see it and I just paid off a loan with them. Another time I had my mortgage payment set to go through. Another check cleared before it ND left it $100 short. Having never bounced a check with them, they declined it and charged me $25. Didn't let me know by phone or mail. It came back through and bounced again charging me another $25. Now to resubmit payment I'm over 30 days so it dinged my credit,. They could have taken it and charged the fee, since my paycheck goes there first, they know they will get their money. This credit union is the worst I've ever dealt with for making customers feel wanted. Give us your money and move on. I'm looking into other places and will move my business elsewhere once I can switch over all my businesses associated with them.

I've been with this credit union since 1995. They have always treated me respectfully and have made financial products available when I needed some help. Much better than big banks. I have since moved out of state. But still utilize them through shared branch banking.
