Before acquiring a mortgage lending company, I did my research. There had to be a lot of positive reviews that made the company an outstanding source. After my research, Academy Mortgage really stood out to me. Then I met Robert Spies over the phone. He seemed like a really nice guy and I heard he worked well with a client of my agent's. Once I decided to go with Academy and Robert as my lender, to this point I can't believe how smooth everything went. His timely response to me and my agent was impeccable! He answered every question and concern. While it was a smooth process on the Academy's end, I experienced ups and downs through other avenues e.g. the seller's agent, the title company, etc. However, every time I spoke with Robert, he had a way of making things calm which I believe is a natural quality within himself. I would say that even if things didn't work out for me in the transaction, Robert's voice was calming and if it meant to purchase the following year, make no mistake about it, Robert would be my guy. The awesome thing is, I got to hear Robert say, "Loretta, go get your keys!"
