Academy Bank N Boardwalk Ave, Kansas City

I often go there twice a week for various bank transactions and all tellers know me. Tiffany is great and friendly. The bank manager Jeremy knows me and is always professional and friendly. He always does my notary and fax for me he is a Top Gun! I’m with Armed Forces Bank in Fort Leavenworth, but it doesn’t matter because they are a shared partner of Academy. I’m retired NAVY in for 20 years with five F-14 squadrons and three aircraft carriers and then retired from Delta Airlines after 10 years. I enjoy banking with the entire staff.

Momodou is an amazing customer rep. at this bank! He is super fast and just the right gentlemen to assist you in all your financial needs.

I unfortunately had a student account here for 3 years it was the worst bank I have ever dealt with. They have removed more then 280 in superfluous fees. I had to closely monitor my account to figure out were my money went. Once I figured out where my money was going I called the branch and demanded they give my money back they refunded me $63 and says that that's all that they could give me. I had to threaten legal action to get my money back once I did I quickly closed my account.

Good place, but closes my credit card with zero explanation, afterwards is only open on weekdays which I cant go usually during the weekdays and is only available in very certain spots in Kansas city areas overall just super inconvenient compared to many other brands or banks

The young woman that worked today is the reason I will not be going back to this location except to close my account. During my deposit I asked if it was a new policy to ask for my DL along with my debit card (since this has been the only branch to do so) and why she had set one of the five dollar bills aside from the rest of the cash being deposited. She gave me answers to both questions yet after the second question, under her breath, she made a rude comment about the amount of questions I was asking loud enough for me to hear. Pretty terrible customer service skills is what I've encountered on most visits to this branch, but this experience was so blatantly rude that I don't want to ever come back. Your employees are who represent your company, so maybe make a better selection process for who you hire. Do better.

Momodou was my personal banker today, he was absolutely amazing! He helped me reopen an account after having to close my account for almost a year. There was a few issues ( nothing that dealt with him) but he made sure to have them all dealt with before I left, so everything went well and I walked out with a smile!

Tiffany Marchbanks absolutely rocks!!! My husband had an involved banking need and Tiffany walked us through, and handled, every aspect of the transaction. This was an out of state, for us, banking issue related to a Trust. We don’t live in the Kansas City area, but in another state. If we did live here though, I.can say with all certainty, Tiffany would have won out business for Academy Bank! She is not only efficient but personable too! I’d be proud to call her my daughter!
