We wanted to do home repairs so we decided to refinance through a very large national bank, our current mortgage lender. Having a current and previous mortgage with them, we thought that may help. It did not at all and having a start to finish time of 90-120 days was disheartening too. A former coworker and Facebook friend referred us to Barb Huber. The Facebook friend who also works at First Security said to expect 45-60 days from start to finish. Barb took our information, gave us straight forward pricing and explained to us how to create our application and upload documents through the FSB portal. It was very easy and being local and knowledgeable helped greatly. From the first message I sent to my former coworker referring us to Barb to funding our loan took about 30 days. I would definitely recommend Barb if you are in the market for a real estate transaction.

The only reason we didn’t go with her was that the realtor we ended up working with has a long standing relationship with another fantastic lender, and their partnership was a major factor in our home buying success. It was very sad not to be able to work with Lisa as well! She has a wonderful, warm, and engaging personality that comes through even over the phone or zoom call. Even before the point of getting a pre-approval, Lisa gave us a crash course in mortgages and the way lending works, so we would feel more comfortable in reading and reviewing lender quotes. She explained everything very clearly and was always available to answer any questions we had about some obscure detail of the process, no matter how small. She took her valuable time to have multiple phone calls with us, usually in the evenings to accommodate our availability after our son was in bed. My experience is specifically with Kim Stallcop. My wife and I bought our house a little over a year ago and Ms. Stallcop was wonderful to work with. She walked us through the steps we needed to take and was very quick to respond to our questions, no matter inane they were. Even after we finalized everything, she made herself available if we had follow-up questions. When issues arrived, she was a point of contact to help make things right. Just recently, after a conversation related to an issue (which was corrected quickly), she noticed that we could refinance with a lower interest rate while dropping mortgage insurance. Once again, she worked with us through this process, answering the million questions I had holding our hands throughout all of it. She was only off by $9 between her estimate and the final monthly payment - very thorough and knowledgeable! She's been a great person to work with.
