Waiting over an hour at this point to get a document notarized. This is ridiculous. A suggestion would be to have more employees get credentials to be able to notarize Documents. What an irritating experience!!!!

Purchased a used car in June 2019. The interest rates dropped three plus times in the following months 1st Advantage would not allow me to refinance. I asked again after 4 months of interest rates dropping. I apply to refinance only to be told I haven't the loan current auto loan for a year! Now, I have incurred an unnecessary credit inquiry on my credit report. It is a year later and they will not match the current interest rates which happens to be more than 5 points less than what I am currently paying on my auto loan! I will not finance another car with them! When you go into the branch be prepared to stay 30 minutes or more as they are very slow moving. Also, always get the name of the person that you spoke to. So, often no one seems to know who works in the branch with them! Also, my ATM card never works consistently.

I recently conducted business transactions at 1Advantage Federal Credit Union Denbigh with Ms. Bottley, she was efficient, she would called me and provide me with a list of documents that I would need when we meet, this allows the transaction process to compete with easily.

Darnell was very helpful!!! He navigated a complicated process of handling my parents trust account and was both compassionate and professional.

I was a member quite a few years back when the customer service used to be prime. They’re a credit union and preached “customer first” for years. But nowadays, they seem to only focus on the $ and the benefits they get from you, as a member. They’re slow to deposit your $, but quick to take it when you owe them, and I mean- super slow! They’re not very helpful at all when you try to reach them by phone either. (Long waits and rudeness is what you get; when you’re already frustrated with problems) I personally no longer bank with them, but my hubby takes care of a client in-home (lives with her and handles her affairs), as she is a member. The experience is so atrocious and heart wrenching, that we’re trying to get her to change banks. It’s hard when you’ve been banking with someone for over 20 years. But hey, things change. People change. So it’s ok to make a change if the people you do business with don’t care about the people who do business with them. I’ve moved to Navy Federal Credit Union, and am loving it. And yes, I’m well aware that we are experiencing a horrific pandemic called COVID-19. I am patient and understanding. I just can’t tolerate the seemingly lack of concern for customers with the audacity to use the pandemic as an excuse for poor customer concern. It’s a “new normal” out here that we all have to get use to, but the “new norm” should never compromise what’s most important in this world~ People. Money is a necessity, but without people, there would be no money. We should value people, and the $ will come; for the benefit of us all, in whatever form it’s suppose to.
